If I were Feminist like Carol Gillligan I would believe that men and women follow different paths when developing moral values. She felt men justice perceptive; their moral values we driven by duty and principle oriented. Were as women had a care perspective; women view of the world revolved around relationships and caring. Gilligan has three stages of moral development for women. 1. pre-conventional stage girls are self-centered just like boys. 2. conventional stage, women are more self-sacrificing and put more emphasis on the needs and welfare of others above her own desires. 3. post-conventianal stage, or mature care ethics; at this stage women are able to balance her needs as well as those around her.
