An Analytical Study on the Branding Image of Bangladesh in the International Market

...| | | | | | | | An Analytical Study on the branding image of Bangladesh in the International Market Introduction Bangladesh is in South Asia sometimes converging with Southeast Asia, bordering the Bay of Bengal to the south, mostly surrounded by India and bordering Myanmar in the southeast. Bangladesh is a country bestowed with the gifts of nature. It has nurtured some of the most ancient civilizations of this continent. The young country came into existence after a blood-spattered liberation war in 1971. But the pace of growth and development has been impeded by many factors. Bangladesh, as a Least Developing Country (LDC), faces a reputation challenge which is popularly known as its image problem. Bangladesh has gained the image of a country with too many people, too much poverty, too little resources, too frequent disasters and too little ability to change for better. Recently poor law and order, Rana Plaza Collapse, bad investment climate, political chaos and Islamic terrorism have killed its image more. To remove all the negative aspects and image surrounding Bangladesh and to make it as a beautiful and prospective country it is highly recommended to branding Bangladesh. But where do we stand? What is Nation Branding? Before digging deep into the issue, let’s look at what is nation branding. ...leading to the software maker simply weren't designed to handle the 35,000 commuters who report for work there each day. The gridlock that greeted Gregoire was just the latest reminder that Microsoft needs to tackle its commuter crisis—and quick. So Microsoft (MSFT) has embarked on a program aimed at getting more employees to work from home and other off-site locales, joining the growing ranks of companies to catch the virtual-workplace wave. About 14% of the U.S. workforce gets its job done at a home office more than two days per week, says Charlie Grantham, executive producer of consulting firm Work Design Collaborative. That's up from 11% in 2004, and is set to grow to 17% by 2009 (see BW Online, 03/12/07, "Telecommuting Now and Forever"). Pros and Cons Benefits of letting employees work from outside the office include keeping cars off the road, helping a company to bolster its green bona fides. But the practice can also foster employee retention, boost worker productivity, and slash real estate costs. At IBM (IBM), about 42% of the company's 330,000 employees work on the road,...

Proposal on Impact of Solar Panel

Electricity is the prime mover for the advancement of all economic and industrial activities. ...CASE STUDY 2 1) Do you think Amazon Fire Home Hub as described in Nidhi’s proposal is the right strategy for Amazon to pursue and why? After carefully analyzing Nidhi’s proposal we came to conclusion that Nidhi’s proposal have certain limitations: 1. According to Nidhi’s proposal, Amazon will allow the users to choose from a list of ISPs and DTH providers. But as we know in existing model, DTH provider use their own set top box (hardware). So it is very less likely that they will allow their services to be used using Amazon fire hub.(What will they do with their hardware in case they decide to go with Amazon fire hub) 2. Major players who have the capability to provide both DTH and Internet services have potential to provide a product like Amazon fire hub by investing in R&D. So it is very less likely that there will be any alliance with them either in short term or long term. 3. In fact, concept of providing a list seems to be unfeasible. For example: say I am company A providing DTH services to customer X using Amazon fire hub. Now customer X wants to move to company B who also provide DTH service. Now in this case company A is losing its customer to company B. Same thing can happen to company B as well. So in this model as there is more flexibility for the customer to move, higher is the risk for company to lose its customer. This is something which is undesirable by any company. Business Plan for Amazon Fire Home Hub 1 COMPANY SUMMARY Amazon.com which is the......
