According to Veronica, Allison then went to her bedroom and Daria followed her continuing to strike her. Daria then turned off the lights in Allison’s room and possibly locked Allison in her room. Allison continued to scream, but eventually calmed down. However, when Allison woke later in the night and wanted to come out of her room, Daria fought with her and forced her to stay in her room.

Veronica said that per her training, she was to report the occurrence. However, she wasn’t sure who to report to at the time. Veronica eventually told her friend, Adriana, who also worked at The Hope School. Veronica asked Adriana what she should do and Adriana told her she would get back to her. Adriana then told Antwon who told the union rep who related the event to “the head boss.” The head boss called Veronica at home and asked her to come in to the office. Veronica believes that the incident happened on a Friday night, that she was called at home over the weekend, and that she went into the office on Monday.
