What is a cystocele?
A cystocele occurs when the wall between a woman's bladder and her vagina weakens and allows the bladder to droop into the vagina. This condition may cause discomfort and problems with emptying the bladder. * Occurs when the wall between the wall between a women’s bladder and vagina weakens and the bladder falls into the vagina * Grade 2 and 3 cystocele can be seen by the doctor * Grade 1 may require an xray called a cystourethrogram * A cystourethrogram views the bladder while urination occurs allowing the doctor to observe any blockages

A bladder that has dropped from its normal position may cause two kinds of problems -- unwanted urine leakage and incomplete emptying of the bladder. In some women, a fallen bladder stretches the opening into the urethra, causing urine leakage when the woman coughs, sneezes, laughs, or moves in any way that puts pressure on the bladder.
A cystocele is mild -- grade 1 -- when the bladder droops only a short way into the vagina. With a more severe -- grade 2 -- cystocele, the bladder sinks far enough to reach the opening of the vagina. The mostadvanced -- grade 3 -- cystocele occurs when the bladder bulges out through the opening of the vagina.
A cystocele is a fallen bladder, which occurs when the wall between a woman’s bladder and her vagina is torn by childbirth, resulting in the bladder bulging or dropping towards the vagina. Cases range from mild to severe and treatment usually depends on the severity of the condition. A mild cystocele, which may be noticed by a physician or nurse, but hasn’t bothered the patient, doesn’t necessarily require treatment. However, in cases of moderate and severe prolapse, symptoms can be bothersome and can lead to women experiencing difficulties emptying their bladder, as well as feeling of pressure in the pelvis and vagina, especially when bearing down.

Catanduanes: Land of the Howling

...no existence; no stories to share to future generations. Catanduanes, a small kidney-shaped island in the Pacific, abounds with a conglomeration of folkways and mores which constitute its rich culture. Some of these stories are commendable while others are dishonourable to some extent. Catanduanes has been known as the “Land of the Howling Winds” because of the many strong tropical cyclones that visit it every year and leave it devastated and desolated like a lover forsaken by a beloved. But aside from this epithet affixed to our province which implies its geographical condition and location, are there still other words we can attach to the phrase “Land of the Howling...” which in one way or another will help other people imagine and understand what our province really is? Well, maybe we just need to try. Land of the Howling Pigs and Drunkards Percy Bysshe Shelley in his “Ode to the West Wind” wrote, “O trumpet of the Prophecy, If winter comes, can spring be far behind?’. Cirilo Bautista, that celebrated Filipino poet, wrote in one of his essays, “If summer comes, can teacher seminars be far behind?”. I, on the other hand ask, “If summer comes, can fiestas be far behind?” This is the summer of the year 2013. And summer is not just a time for vacation and excursions, it is also a time for the undying tradition of fiesta. It is so amusing (and appetizing!) to know that that many barangay fiestas in Catanduanes fall on summer which is a vacation time. Now how did this queer...

...radio receivers and government-owned and operated radio networks. The original settlers of Bicol were said to be hybridized by the Tagalog (who migrated to Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur) and the Visayans (who moved to Masbate and Sorsogon). These migrations plus the isolation of certain areas led to the formation of diverse dialects. The Bicol language is basically Malayo-Polynesian with adaptations of some Arabic, Indian, Chinese, and Spanish words. An agglutinative language, it has a simple structure and an inflection that retains the meaning of the word. The isolated people of Libon speak another dialect which combines the dialects in the Rinconada district of Camarines Sur, from Bato to Baao. Another dialect is spoken in southern Catanduanes. Some parts of Masbate and Sorsogon fall linguistically between Bicol and Cebuano. Tagalog with a distinct Bicol accent is spoken in Camarines Norte. The region south of Luzon Island in the Philippines is inhabited approximately by almost five million Bicolanos. Bicol is one of the ten major ethnic ethno-linguistic groups in the Philippines. The Bicolanos are renowed for their religiousity and devotion to the Catholic Church. Christianity was introduced to Bicolandia by the Franciscans and other Spanish-Mexican Mendicant Orders. She has been called many names in different regions of the Philippines. Some of them are the following: Nuestra Señora de Caridad to Ilocanos; Our Lady of Manaoag to the people of Pangasinan; Lady of Piat to Cagayanos; Nuestra Señora del Rosario de la Naval or Nuestra Señora de Antipolo to the Tagalogs, and many others. Perhaps, one of her most notable names is Our Lady of Peñafrancia, more warmly called INA or Mother, by the Bicolanos. This intense devotion to Mother Mary by the Bicolanos can be traced back in Spain. One of the many Catholic traditions is the Marian devotion. We, the Filipinos, especially the Bicolanos, have that extraordinary, exceptional, and devoted love for Mother Mary -- the Mother of Jesus...

Reaction for a Rose for Emily

...Catanduanes State Colleges College of Health Sciences Department of Nursing Virac, Catanduanes Reaction Paper A Rose for Emily Submitted by: Sheila Mae T. Tapar BSN 3A Submitted to: Mrs. Victoria Gianan Professor I. Summary/Synopsis A Rose for Emily" is a short story by American author William Faulkner first published in the April 30, 1930 issue of Forum. This story takes place in Faulkner's fictional city, Jefferson, Mississippi, in the fictional county of Yoknapatawpha County. It was Faulkner's first short story published in a national magazine. Faulkner explained the reason for his choice of the title as: [The title] was an allegorical title; the meaning was, here was a woman who has had a tragedy, an irrevocable tragedy and nothing could be done about it, and I pitied her and this was a salute ... to a woman you would hand a rose. The story is told in nonlinear narrative and begins at the huge funeral for Miss Emily Grierson. Nobody has been to her house in ten years, except for her black servant. Her house is old, but was once the best house around. The town had a special relationship with Miss Emily ever since it decided to stop billing her for taxes in 1894. But, the "newer generation" wasn't happy with this arrangement, and so they paid a visit to Miss Emily and tried to get her to pay the debt. She refused to acknowledge that the old arrangement might not work anymore, and flatly refused to pay. Thirty years before, the tax collecting townspeople...
