The autonomous car by Google
I chose an article on the French newspaper « Le Figaro » published on 27th September 2012.
This article talks about a car which includes a new technology create by Google.
Google takes an existed car, the Toyota Prius, and installed on the keyboard a computer which allows the car to drive itself without a driver.
It is a revolution in the field of new technologies because it is the first car which can drive alone. In September, Google was allowed to use their car in the road in the state of California. And within five years, this car will be on the market and everybody could buy it.

I think it is a really really good idea from Google to create this kind of car which is totally autonomous. It is the dream of every driver to have a car which takes away where you want without doing anything. Moreover, these cars can reduce the number of accident because the car slows down itself thanks to the radar on the front and on the roof of the car.

Regarding the substitute of this autonomous car, I don’t know what it could be.
The reason is simple; this new car created by Google is already a substitute to the automatic car which existed for a long time. So this autonomous car is going to replace it.
So right now, I think there is no substitute to this new car but it is the substitute to our cars.

Flathead Catfish Research Paper

...Flathead Catfishing Flathead catfishing is frequently seen in the United States. Why! Because flathead catfish are a native species of the waters there and are popular among the masses as game fish and food. Initially, Flathead catfish dwelled in the Mississippi River and its outlets, but later it found its way to the slow moving waters of the nation. Today, flathead catfish can be found in big rivers, streams, lakes and ponds across the entire United States. Deep waters are their favorite hideouts where they take cover under fallen logs and rocks. Flatheads derive their name from the shape of their heads which is slightly long and flat. They also have flat oval shaped eyes and a bigger lower jaw that sticks out past the upper jaw. Mostly brown and yellow with spots, they come in all sizes. In rivers and lakes forty to fifty pound flatheads are normally found and caught, but there have also been reports of...

...Salem Saleh Professor Bains ENGWR 300 15 December 2014 Problem & solution essay Open Your Eyes Before Your Wallet Gets Opened When it comes to the topic of online dating, most people will readily agree that it is beneficial in many ways. On the other hand, others will disagree. The question is how many people have gotten hacked or scammed by these dating websites? Whereas, some people are convinced that it is a way to solve ones problem who lost their partner, being anti-social, or better at expressing themselves by altering their persona via dating profiles. Online dating can target people who have the same interests. In other words, many people think that it is an easy outlet to peoples’ dark dreams, by paying a small amount of fees in order to log in into a ”guaranteed” website that people are willing to invest in. However, people now are looking for a solution to prevent scammers from innocent victims, who believed in finding a perfect match on a dating site. Scammers are those who prey on desperate people in order to capture those who are vulnerable, with their magical words. These words are the only “weapon” they can use in the online dating world. According to scammerswatch.org, they said that scammers target victims by creating fake profiles on legitimate internet dating services. Dr. McGraw, who earned a B.A. from Midwestern State University along with an M.A. and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of North Texas, identifies a scammer as...

Catfish Creek

...Case Study Assignment: Catfish Creek Canoe Company October 2015 Question 1 – Catfish’s Target Market Profile • Davidson is relying on scooping up “thousands of prospective clients” pulled from the Internet alone • There could be countless potential clients responding to the “Buyers Markets” section of the most popular canoeing magazines • He wants to sell to “professionals with above-average income” but he doesn’t specify which professionals and what constitutes a high income • Davidson is very vague with respect to his target market and assumes he’ll have clients from online and print sources • He did not include an estimate of the size of his market segment • He has not narrowed his target into a segment of potential clients, who, for example, could be: o Males 50 – 75 o Cottagers o Retired o Hobby Fishers o Remote Camp Owners o Gun and Bow Hunters o Living in the Muskokas Question 2 – Adequate Research? • Not only has Davidson underestimated his competition, he has relied on Statistics Canada information almost exclusively • He has also made some awkward assumptions that I think would be fatal: o After his “sticker shock” episode, he assumed he could sell his “handcrafted” canoes at a premium without first understanding whether specific market prospects existed or could be tapped into o He assumed that he could build canoes “relatively easy” since he had completed three in the last ten years and sold for a “marginal profit” o He had also...

Catfish Research Paper

...Have you ever heard of a fish that could actually walk out of water? For evolutionists, this could be one of the most interesting, yet terrifying, discoveries. To move outside of water, the walking catfish uses "spines" and flexes its body back and forth as if it were walking. Also, they have a larger breathing organ which allows them to breathe oxygen outside of water. This helps them with traveling longer distances, especially while or after it rains. They’re known to be one of Florida’s most invasive species. They are quite threatening to the environments they’re invading. They’ve been know to invade aquaculture farms and feast on their fish stock. Farmers in the areas they’ve invaded had to put up fences to keep them out. They also carry the disease enteric septicemia (ESC), which is caused by the bacterium Edwadsiella ictaluri. There are high possibilities of these wild catfish spreading the disease through farmed catfish. Scientists don’t know much about walking catfish. They do know, though, that the invaders were very pervasive and had one of the most harmful introductions out of most native species. They were originally released in Florida on accident by Penagra...

Catfish and Mandala Essay

...Self-identification, soul-searching; There are varying degrees and definitions of these introspective moments or phases everyone experiences throughout life. I think most people can relate to driving by a childhood home or neighborhood. It stirs about memories and lends itself to a reflection of who we are, because largely in part it is our experiences and attitudes toward them that help define who we are. In the book Catfish and Mandala, Author Andrew Pham embarks one one of the most dramatic and magnificent journeys I have ever heard. His fatherland in Vietnam and homeland in California are nearly one hundred and eighty degrees apart in geographic location, but his search for his cultural identity lies almost entirely within. His epic travels twenty years after escaping Vietnam take him around the U.S., Japan, and modern day Vietnam on pocket cash and a bicycle. His search and discoveries offer great insight to his plight as a refugee at the age of ten. I would like to discuss his travels, what he gained from them, and what the significance of his travels are. His incredible journey reveals so much on so many levels. Andrew departs on his trip after resigning from his “doomed from the start” job as an engineering post at a major airline (Pham,25). With the economy in a recession and a heavy tinge of disapproval in his fathers eyes, he decides now is the time to liquidate assets and just go. Along the first leg of his trip, the racial tensions in America that Andrew is not...

Catfish Creek Canoe Company

...last 3 years, Davidson had been building canoes for himself, using them, and then selling them for marginal profits once he was finished with them. When he decided he was going to purchase a canoe, he was shocked by the expensive prices for poor quality boats. Davidson saw an opportunity to build handcrafted cedar canoes, which he would sell for a premium. When Davidson decided he was going to pursue this business, he enrolled in a 12-week business program at the Entrepreneurial Manufacturing Generator (EMG) in St. Thomas Ontario. In August 1998, Davidson was opening up the Catfish Creek Canoe Company (CCC). He was going to specialize in manufacturing and selling 16-foot Peterborough canoes. Problem Statement: Market the Peterborough canoe in a proper location with an appropriate selling price. Symptoms Steve Davidson is going to experience many different situations while starting up Catfish Creek Canoe Company. He is planning to produce 30 canoes in the first year and average one canoe every ten days which would leave a 65 day buffer period; although, it will take him almost 12 days to produce his first canoes. An experienced craftsman can only make 25 to 30 canoes per year, so if requests increase, Davidson will have to hire more employees to insist him with the demand. The canoe industry is also seasonable; people will not be shopping for canoes in the middle of winter, especially in his target market area of Ontario, Canada. During the cold seasons, Davidson...

Impact Of Hypoxia On The Catfish Industry

...Impact of hypoxia to the catfish industry Oxygen is important for aerobic organisms, especially for fish who live in the aquatic environment with routinely low dissolved oxygen (Wang et al., 2017b). Under aquaculture conditions, hypoxia can be caused by natural phenomena (e.g., weather, temperature, or water flow rate), water pollution and eutrophication, high stocking density, and improper use of aeration (Green et al., 2016; Wu, 2002; Zhang et al., 2010). In spite of the strong tolerance of catfish to low oxygen, hypoxia can still lead to huge economic losses. Exposure to low oxygen stress can affect the growth rate (Mallya, 2007), feed conversion rate (Buentello et al., 2000), and increase the susceptibility to infectious diseases of catfish...

Mcdonald Catfish Case Study

...and research March 30, 2014 Scenario Nashville, Tennessee—McDonald’s Corp. is trying to hook customers in southern test markets, including one in Kentucky, on a new catfish sandwich. The chain is serving its newest sandwich in Bowling Green, Kentucky; Memphis, Chattanooga, and Jackson, Tennessee; Huntsville, Alabama; Jonesboro, Arkansas; and Columbus, Tupelo, Greenville, and Greenwood, Mississippi, said Jane Basten, a marketing specialist for McDonald’s in Nashville. The sandwich consists of a 2.3-ounce catfish patty, lettuce, and tangy sauce served on a homestyle bun. The company will evaluate the sandwich based on sales and supply availability after a six-week ad campaign ends in mid-April. “The advertising will be similar to what we’re doing right now with the grilled steak sandwich,” Basten said. “We will promote it to the fullest and see what happens.” The Catfish Institute, an industry promotion association based in Belzoni, Mississippi, is supplying the catfish. Catfish Institute director Bill Allen said catfish farmers, processors, and marketers are “very excited about this prospect for our industry. This is super good news. “But we don’t want to get our hopes up too much and start thinking this is going to be our salvation, because we already have a viable industry.” Allen said that catfish firms that remember earlier tie-ups with major restaurant chains such as Church’s Fried Chicken are cautiously optimistic about the McDonald’s deal. Catfish: My Personal Experience

This film was premiered in December 2010. This movie is based about a photographer, Nev, who meets people and starts relationships through Facebook. He doesn’t question the reliability of these new found friendships until things start to become suspicious. This film begins with Nev being a normal person pursuing his love of photography. He was so lucky to get one of his photos published, but he seemed even happier when he received a package in the mail. This package was from Abby and it contained a painting replica of his published photo. Nev was shocked at the talent of the eight year old and continued the connection with her and her mother Angela. He started becoming Facebook friends with her and her family and friends. Soon enough Nev started talking to Angela’s daughter Megan. They continued to talk and get closer until Nev and his friends started to have suspicions about the validity of this family’s existence. Megan’s songs were easily found on YouTube, Angela and Megan’s voice sounded remarkably familiar, and Abby’s art gallery was still up for sale. It all didn’t make sense, so they boys decided to barge in on the family’s Sunday breakfast to figure out what’s true and what is lies. What Nev finds out indeed surprises him with one lie after another. A turning point in the movie was...
