Cathy Cassidy grew up in Coventry,England. She made her first picture book when she was eight years old. She said that ever since she started to write small stories she has wanted to be a author . She has wrote books that include Indigo Blue,Scarlett,Dizzy,and many more. All of the illustrations on the front are all drew by her. She won the Queen of Teen award in 2010. She said that if she wouldn’t have made it as an author she would continue her job as an art teacher. She now lives in London with her husband and two sons where she continues to write books.
