Sometimes you wake up, and within the first hour or so, you know it's going to be a bad day. The plans you have made suddenly become rearranged, people become distractions and all task are performed with strain and friction. You ask yourself, “Why, why me? “, or choose to go the easier route and blame everyone in sight, instead of the true culprit within. So i would like to take this opportunity to go on the record by saying this notion of having a "bad day", for lack of a better word is pseudoscience. The statement, “ for every cause there is an effect”, is universal fact that has lasted the test of time. A combination of a bad attitude, a lack of preparation and anxiety lead to bad days. What has caused a bad day ?

A bad attitude toward situations causes bad days. Many people believe the reason for a bad day is due to outside circumstances rather than a negative attitude towards the events of the day. Harboring negative feeling directed towards people, situation, or even to yourself, lead to negative experience. For example, when the alarm clock does not wake you in the morning, the immediate reaction is blame the device for not working. Because the alarm did not go off, the appointment you scheduled for this morning is now canceled, and the pattern of bad thoughts begins. The blame is now on why the alarm did not go off, and you begin to worry about the consequences of missing that particular appointment. Since your focus is geared towards the negative, there is no room for thought about the other things you had to do throughout the day. The great author Regina Brett once said “No one really has a bad life. Just bad moments.” Bad moments are cumulative, and lead to bad days.
A lack of proper preparation causes a bad day. Correctly preparing and planning the day is essential to a successful day. That being said, the lack of proper preparation will always cause you to have a bad day. Nothing in this world goes exactly as planned, and without a plan, one will find themselves doing whatever comes up throughout the day. For instance, you have a test in math class and decided not to study. Chances are you will fail the test, or get a poor score. The effects of proper preparation is time management and easily coping with unfavorable circumstances . The world renowned personal development coach and teacher Brian Tracy once said "for every minutes spent in planning, you save ten minutes of execution." Planning and preparing for the day will save you time, energy and limits the chances you will have a bad day.

Anxiety heads the list of causes for bad days. The author Wallace d. Wattles once said "you will never manifest greatness until you overcome fear and anxiety." Anxiety causes the things you are anxious about to come into your outer experience. When in an anxious state of mind, decisions become fast and uncalculated. For instance, in class, when giving a presentation, you worry about what your peers will think of your work. As you begin to give the presentation, your thoughts are not focused on delivery. You stutter, jumble your words and your classmates laugh. Now, for the rest of the day, that is all you think about.

In conclusion, bad days are caused by a number of circumstances. Like dominoes the bad experiences of the day cause a downward spiral. Bad days can be avoided by not having a bad attitude toward the event and circumstances of the day. creating clear plans, and having no fear and anxiety. A bad attitude starts you off emotionally distraught. A lack of proper preparation, leads from various distractions lead someone to do anything that comes to them throughout the day. Lastly, anxiety causes stress and makes for cluded judgment. Through these changes, any day could be made for the better. Are you willing to change?

Life Factors

...(PIES) Cystic fibrosis Physical Effects A hereditary disorder affecting the exocrine glands. It causes the production of abnormally thick mucus, leading to the blockage of the intestines, and bronchi and often resulting in respiratory infection. Cystic fibrosis affects the pancreas because a buildup of thick, sticky mucus blocks the ducts reducing the amount of insulin produced and stopping digestive enzymes from reaching the intestines for digestion. This can cause malnutrition, leading to poor growth, physical weakness and delayed puberty. Symptoms usually start in early childhood and include: •persistent cough •recurring chest and lung infections •poor weight gain. An early sign is that an affected child’s sweat is unusually salty, which can be noticeable when you kiss your child. One in every ten babies born with cystic fibrosis develops a bowel obstruction called meconium ileus at birth or within the first few days of life. In these cases the meconium is so thick that it blocks the bowel instead of passing through. Babies with meconium ileus often need an urgent operation to relieve and bypass the blockage. Individuals with cystic fibrosis are prone to developing bone disease (thin, brittle bones) due to a lack of nutrition (which is lost through stools because of the damaged pancreas), and other complaints related to the disease. Adults with cystic fibrosis also have an increased risk of bone disease, which is a side effect of the steroids taken to control lung...

Teenage Gossip

...Suite101 Member Posted on: Jul 9, 2009    [pic] The Effects of Gossip on Teenage Girls Teenage girls carry certain social labels including the image of the circle of girls sharing small scandals of each others lives. Gossip may seem an innocent form of normal teenage life, from the outside the topics may seem inane or superficial. However, to the group participants, the conversations often center on areas of life in which the girls are heavily invested. Laurence Owen writes in “The Effects of Indirect Aggression on Teenage Girls” [School Psychology International, 2003] that activities such as group exclusion, derailing other girls and other forms of indirect bullying have consequences ranging from anxiety to deep spells of depression. The Source of Gossip In the course of developing friendships, many adolescent girls will belong to a number of social groups or cliques as they move through school. Transitioning from group to group may carry problems including other group members' envy or jealousy. This can result in an amazing amount of gossiping and other forms of indirect bullying. Another source of gossiping can come in breaking the implied rules of the clique. Whether it be failing to attend a planned social function or failing to fall in line with the latest fashion, breaking the implied agreements of the friendship group can quickly place the offender in the unenviable position of being the target of false rumors. Of course, some gossiping simply happens...

Do You Do Drugs

...from over using caffeine but that’s like anything else, too much of one thing is usually not good. I don’t really think it’s fair to compare caffeine to other illegal drugs because the negative impacts of caffeine are only prevalent if the user is taking in crazy amounts of it. Other drugs like heroin can cause lasting effects on somebody after one dose. Taking in high amounts of caffeine over a long period can cause bad results, but that’s why people need to learn self-control. My dad is a farmer and he drinks a cup of coffee in the morning and drinks a couple pops through the day. That’s way more caffeine then I take in during a regular day but I wouldn’t consider him addicted at all. He works long hours and sometimes needs that extra boost to get through the day. I do not think that we should tell children that caffeine is a drug simply because caffeine is in so many products that people enjoy. With that being said, I think we need to make sure kids limit their intake of caffeine. Children should not be drinking energy drinks because that’s more caffeine then they can handle and this is what is going to cause negative effects on them. I don’t think it’s a bad thing if a kid has a pop every once in a while but it should definitely be limited. I’m not going to be a teacher or coach but I think it’s us as adults that need to talk to kids about the dangers of caffeine. If they limit the amount they consume then there should not be a...
