Centinel states that the larger states would be “loudly complaining of the inconveniences and disadvantages they are subjected to on this account, and that, to enjoy the comforts of local government, they are separating into smaller divisions.” The act of the larger states would cause a rebellion among the citizens, as the states would slowly be repelling the ideas of the government due to being treated unfairly. This would result in the states breaking up and conflict arising. Centinel concluded that with conflicts arising, it would begin a rebellion against the government.
