Introduction:

As part of the ongoing Junior Export Manager project: Vifit, we are given the task to produce a report in which we explain the techniques , which we have been taught during the ‘Challenge day’, and how we have applied them throughout our ongoing project. The techniques we have been taught all are all tools to break away from the linear convergence thinking, to the more artistic and emotional divergence thinking. In the first paragraph a brief description of the product, chosen country, and the entry strategy will be given. In the second and third paragraph a description and explanation of the strategies, as well as, an explanation what we have learned/how we have used these different strategies/techniques in the progress of our project, will be given. Lastly, each group member will individually provide feedback on what they have learned from using these techniques. Table of Content: Product Description: 4 Strategies taught during the ‘Challenge Day’ 5 Applied techniques: 6 Individual Feedback/input: 7

Product Description:

The product which we are going to export is Campina’s Yoghurt drink; Vifit. Vifit is a Yoghurt based breakfast replacement drink which contains the special compound LGG, a ‘friendly’ bacteria which aids the body’s natural resistance against viruses and harmful bacteria, in addition to providing all the nourishment needed for a healthy start of the day, or providing that little bit extra for people with an active lifestyle. Through our macro and market analysis we came to the conclusion that out of the three assigned countries, Norway was the most suitable for the introduction of Vifit. This, due to the active lifestyle of the Norwegians, and a large potential market. As Vifit is a healthy breakfast replacement drink, we aim to advertise it as such. At the introduction phase, Vifit will

...Thesis: The challenges of being a single parent include managing finances, responsibilities and resources The challenge of being a single parent has become harder over time. The fact is that over time things have changed but not for a single parent. Statics show that there has been a steady rise for five decades and that the births to unmarried women has crossed a threshold. An example of this would be, a single mom that can’t provide day care for her child because her income is not enough to pay the bills and day care. The challenges of being a single parent include, managing finances, responsibilities and resources, their work is never done nor are their struggles. One of the challenges a single mom has raising her son and daughter would be getting up at 4am taking 3 buses to transport her children to her mother (who lives on the other side of town). Spending 2 hours getting there and another 3 buses and a hour and a half getting to work. There is a limit on everything she does because she does not have the opportunity to get an education, she has to work and provide for her family. Pawning valuables to make ends meet when money is short, living from pay check to pay check. Child support is another challenge for a single mom when the children’s father does not work, all the financial responsibility is on the single parent. Another challenge to a single mom is that because she is a woman, to keep from being taken advantage of, she will pay more money for rent to keep...

Three Rewards and Three Challenges

...the career you chose a job or is it your work? I feel a job is just something you go to everyday, but work is something you do that will make a difference in someone's life. I'm hoping that it won't just make a difference in my life, but that of a child's life too. This is the reason I choose this career path in becoming a teacher. “What are three rewards and three challenges that you will face as a teacher?” I'll be talking about these challenges and rewards in the next few pages, on how I feel teaching make a major impact on not only my life, but hopefully the lives of thousands of children to come. At the end of the day I'm hoping to be that one teacher that my students will remember forever. What greater gift could I be given than to make a positive impact in a child's life and future? So, with that said let me begin with the rewards! The first one that comes to mind is the achievements of my students, in more detail student discoveries and the exciting new things they will learn through me teaching in my classroom. In doing so, I can show them how to untangle things they are struggling with, challenges they face, or problems that might occur; by showing them a different light. The smile that comes across a child’s face symbolizing that they understand or I've got it! Is one of the best feelings I feel, a teacher could have. This would show to me that I'm doing my job well and I helped a child cover new exciting things! In hopes that they would not be stuck at...

Challenges and Reward of Teaching

...Challenges and Rewards of Teaching/Final Exam Sheila Wright Liberty University INTRODUCTION I know that my first year of teaching will be filled with many challenges and many rewards; after all you cannot have roses without thorns. Just being new to the profession is going to be challenging. I am sure I will be anxious, nervous and extremely excited to finally have my own class. I am confident that the excellent education that I will receive will help me meet the challenges head on and appreciate the rewards as they come. In this essay I will discuss my top three challenges and rewards as it relates to the text and information presented in this course. CHALLENGES The multidimensional aspect of the classroom will be challenging. Having a large number of events occurring at the same time will make it difficult to decide what to deal with first. I will have to be prioritize the events as they unfold, therefore making snap decisions will become an everyday practice. This leads me to another challenge; classroom management. According our textbook from 1960 to 2004, polls identified classroom management as one of teachers’ most challenging problems and from 2004 to present, it ranked second behind only behind school funding. (D.Kauchak, P. Eggen 2011) Lastly, I think that language diversity is a challenge that I may be faced with. As we read in chapter 4 of our text- “immigration has brought increasing numbers of students with limited backgrounds...

This I Believe

...This I Believe   After reflecting on what is important to me in my professional career, I have defined my professional values as courtesy, dependability, and challenge. Throughout my career and jobs that I have held over the years I have worked in a customer service industry a great deal. From retail, to restaurant service, to financial planning, my job structure has been based around serving and working with the public and clients. I have learned a lot through the various positions that I have held and continue to learn more as my career moves forward.     Customer service has always been one of my stronger suits. I believe that being polite to others and behaving as I would like to be treated is the most important value in one’s profession. I feel that when you work with others, being positive and polite can not only make your day go by much smoother and more pleasant but can also provide more positive outcomes and opportunities. As the old adage goes, ‘you can catch more bees with honey than you can with vinegar.’    I have come to realize that everyone, regardless of their position or job title, plays a valuable part in getting a job and making a business operate effectively. Therefore, it is essential to be able to depend on each and every person in the work place. I have learned over the years that everyone's work influences someone else's work and/or outcome. In addition, everyone depends on someone else in one way or another to get their job done. I learned this...
