When we were told that we would be creating a multi-genre research project on Charles Schulz, some cartoonist, you could say we weren’t exactly ecstatic about it. We didn't know who Schulz really was and we hardly knew anything about animations or cartoons. Of course, we knew about Peanuts and it’s star character, Charlie Brown, the tragically mediocre boy. But we didn’t know much about Schulz himself. Why did he create this infamous cartoon? And what led him to fame? Since we didn’t know much, if anything, about Schulz, we started off with getting to know Schulz. And this required - guess it! Yes, research. We read biographies, encyclopedia articles, newspapers, and magazines to gather information about Schulz. After some preliminary research, we created a guiding question for a more in-depth analysis on Schulz, and this was our research question - how was Schultz’s journey to success fueled by his individualistic pursuit of happiness? …show more content…
How are we going to work? At first, we implemented a system in which our entire group was trying to work on everything together but we soon realized that this system was not working. And this posed the question of - what would be a better and more efficient way to execute our tasks? And this was when we implemented the divide and conquer system to carry out the work needed to be done. We started to work on different aspects of the project separately and came together to critique one another’s work. What this system did was give all of us the opportunity to showcase our strengths, and receive input from each other to fix any weak points or flaws in what we have produced. This system worked very well. We all were producing our best work with feedback from peers which made our final products much better quality and much quicker in
