Chiropractic Orthopedics is a Specialized Field Joined by Hoover Chiropractor G. Edwards
There are some physicians who are willing to settle for the least amount of education possible, and then there are others like G. Forrest Edwards, D.C., D.A.B.C.O., who have taken their medical expertise the extra mile. As the chiropractor for the Hoover Health and Wellness Center in Alabama, Dr. Edwards has added the specialty of chiropractic orthopedics to his name.
A chiropractor is a holistic physician who seeks to find healthy, non-medicated, and non-invasive treatments to ailments which affect the neuromuscular system. These conditions can range anywhere from persistent back pain to degenerative disc disease and sciatica. Through their treatment philosophy, …show more content…
This will include injuries, deformities, or illnesses of the bones, muscles, and joints. Through their diagnosis and treatment procedures, the patient is able to regain lost movement, live with less pain, and function more productively.
When the philosophies of chiropractic medicine and orthopedic medicine are combined, patients receive a new take on health and wellness. Only 1% of the chiropractors in the United States are certified as orthopedists, like G. Forrest Edwards, D.C., D.A.B.C.O.. Using their inherent holistic beliefs, these specialists can treat a greater number of patients in a non aggressive and healthy way.
Seeking the help of a chiropractic orthopedist is also much more cost effective for the patient. Seeing a general practitioner or standard orthopedist for a neck or back ailment will likely result in surgeries that are incredibly expensive. It should also be noted that the likelihood of those procedures being 100% effective is slim. On the other hand, treatment through a chiropractic orthopedist is far less …show more content…
Edwards has received an additional certification as a chiropractic orthopedist through the Cleveland Chiropractic College. He brings vast knowledge and assistance to his patients at the Hoover Health and Wellness Center.
2. Hoover Health and Wellness Chiropractor Discusses Safety
When a patient is considering chiropractic care, one of there first concerns is safety. Dr. G. Forrest Edwards, D.C., D.A.B.C.O. and his team at the Hoover Health and Wellness Center are very familiar with this inquiry, and have no problem easing new patient's fears. There has been quite a bit of disarray regarding the actual safety of chiropractic medicine, this confusion started over a century ago when D.D. Palmer created the term “chiropractor”.
Many people remain on either side of the fence in regard to the safety of chiropractic care. Unfortunately, the people who have not decided upon an opinion yet, are left wondering which is the truth. These future patients can take heart, chiropractic medicine is completely safe, as long as it is provided by a licensed, board certified

Xanthal Gum

...Xantham gum Xanthan gum is a polysaccharide, derived from the bacterial coat of Xanthomonas campestris, used as a food additive and rheologymodifier,[2] commonly used as a food thickening agent (in salad dressings, for example) and a stabilizer (in cosmetic products, for example, to prevent ingredients from separating). It is produced by the fermentation of glucose, sucrose, or lactose by the Xanthomonas campestrisbacterium. After a fermentation period, the polysaccharide is precipitated from a growth medium with isopropyl alcohol, dried, and ground into a fine powder. Later, it is added to a liquid medium to form the gum.[3] It was discovered by an extensive research effort by Allene Rosalind Jeanes and her research team at the United States Department of Agriculture anthan gum derives its name from the strain of bacteria used during the fermentation process, Xanthomonas campestris One of the most remarkable properties of xanthan gum is its ability to produce a large increase in the viscosity of a liquid by adding a very small quantity of gum, on the order of one percent. In most foods, it is used at 0.5%, and can be used in lower concentrations. The viscosity of xanthan gum solutions decreases with higher shear rates; this is called shear thinning or pseudoplasticity. This means that a product subjected to shear, whether from mixing, shaking or even chewing, will thin out, but once the shear forces are removed, the food will thicken back up. A practical use would be in salad...
