Everyone needs a support system of influential people that they can lean on, learn from, and grow. I consider myself to be well rounded, and the well-roundedness that I possess would not be possible if not for three instrumental Godly men in my life. We are taught in Proverbs 27:17 that, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” This scripture describes the blacksmithing that these Godly men have performed in my life. These men, who have helped me get where I am today have personified Strength, Drive, and Discipleship; without them, I undoubtedly would not be where I am today. Strength is often thought of as only a physical attribute; However, this first person embodies all aspects real strength. On the surface, my dad, Jayme, would seem to most like “happy go lucky guy” without a care in the world; however, it is also what you do not see that tells the story of his strength. Scars on his hands and worn leather like skin provides vivid details of a life spent working tirelessly to provide for others at his expense. The son of a Builder, my father, followed in his father’s footsteps as a master craftsman. Beyond his ability to create beautiful houses, my dad showed strength in building a healthy, quality, home life for my siblings and I; A home life whose foundation was laid by the Lord.

There are a lot of people who are happy with mediocrity; they lack the drive and determination to go the distance. My older brother, Jayson, worked from the time he could ride a bike, doing whatever he could do to make his way in the world. He has always been the favorite guy with a large circle of friends. He was the football star, and was no stranger to the title “homecoming king”, and “prom king.” He is a socialite at heart, but more importantly, he is the image of a perfectly balanced scale, equally weighted in relationships and work. He paid his way through Hampden-Sydney College without ever spending a single cent of anyone else’s money. Furthermore, he continued blazing his path into the professional world; experiencing success at every turn. In the world of racing, you qualify based on your best lap time; my brother has continually set records at all of life's racetracks tracks which have resulted in countless trips to victory lane.

Last but not least there is the man who has been to the top; he experienced wealth, fame and fortune, and just about every opportunity one could imagine. From an early age, Matt said that he wanted to be a pastor, that he felt a call to ministry. However, his father, a successful business person told him that “there is no money to be made being a preacher.” As a result, he decided to chase the mighty dollar down the rabbit hole and forget his dream of being a pastor. Matt found his pot of gold at the end of the rainbow as a successful culinary artist. By the age of 30 he had had made tons of money, cooked for The Food Network, and found himself comfortably resting in a circle of fame and riches. Alone and depressed, Matt felt Gods tug after years of running and gave everything over to him. He sold off his businesses and has followed Jesus ever since. Matt had a “Saul to Paul” transformation and is a beaming example of Matthew 13:23. Matt has since found much greater success as a pastor a fantastic role model, a disciple, and an author.

As you are reading this, you may find yourself asking how anyone of these men could help anyone. I can say with certainty; without these three men, I would probably be nothing more than a faded memory on a headstone. We learn in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 that” two are better than one because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” In closing, each of these men each possesses God-given talents that have been sharpened as a result of their individual stories. It is with these sharpened talents that each of these men are able to impact others and help sharpen their lives.

Railroad Classification Yard

...Railroad Classification Yard Guylee Washington Coastal Pines College February 25, 2015 Railroad Classification Yard Do you know what a railroad classification yard consist of? In railroad freight transportation, shipments are consolidated to benefit from economies of scale. Railroad classification yards, also called shunting yards, play an important role as consolidation nodes in rail freight networks. At classification yards, inbound trains are disassembled and the railcars are sorted blocks. Through this procedure, railcars can be routed through the network in a series of blocks moving on trains in such a way that every destination pair can be served while avoiding a large number of end-to-end connections. Due to the complexity of terminal operations, computer simulation offers a flexible and credible technique to identify more opportunities for yard performance improvements. However, the use of simulation technique to model terminal operations is not a common practice in freight railroads. Throughout this report I will be explaining key factors that depicts the typical operations in a railroad hump yard and performance measurements that are used to gauge the efficiency of yard operations. In North America, railroad classification yards are classified into two main types: hump yards and flat yards. Did you know that “More than half of the hump yards in North America have closed in the past 25 years? From 152 operating classification yards in 1975, the number dropped...

Impact of a Data Classification Standard

...Data Classification Standard is a guideline of how a business or organization should handle as well as secure their different array of data. With this particular report it will describe the “Internal Use Only” data of an Investment firm. Internal use only should tell you that this is information that is seen by employees of a company and no one else. There are 3 domains that could be under this umbrella of internal use only these would be the User Domain, Workstation Domain and the LAN domain. First we have the User Domain which defines the employees that will access the company’s information systems. This particular domain is the weakest link in the domain infrastructure due the users on this system that don’t think about the vulnerabilities and threats which include lack of user awareness, apathy towards policies, policy violations, downloads of personal or files that could malicious. Each of these risks is presented on an everyday basis that could compromise a company’s internal data. Secondly, you have the workstation domain, which is the domain where most of the users connect to the organizations infrastructure. This domain should require very tight security as well as access rights. Meaning, each user on the domain should only have the right to access what they need to be able to do their job productively and no more. This will have an impact in lowering the chance of breach in security. Some threats with this domain include; Unauthorized access to workstations...

...Markisha Harris Introduction to Corrections Unit 7 Assignment 02 January 2014 Classification The classification process in corrections differs from state to state. According to the Department of Corrections in the State of Montana, classification is basically a way of consolidating and controlling the offenders that are housed in the prison all based upon their identity. Offenders are also categorized by their behavior and other potential risks. When it comes to prison facilities, there are specific purposes of classification and specific ways of how classification systems are used to place prisoners. In the State of Montana, the primary or main purpose of the system of classification in the correctional system is too basically use a method to figure out whether or not which proper encoding and safekeeping step is right for every single convict. A secondary purpose of the classification process in the State of Montana is to allow the prisoners a chance to change their lives around in a positive way. By allowing this opportunity, it will instill protection, safety, and security of other inmates, correctional officers, and the society. The classification system has a goal. The goal is to have order within the correctional facilities and to maintain proper security and safety to everyone that are in contact with offenders. In order for this goal to be achieved, all inmates has to be classified right after the admission process. After the admission process, the...

Classification

...Classification has always been the main source of the simplifying all of the information that has been found throughout the span of human thought. Science in its most basic from is nothing more than just a quest of knowledge “to seek what regularities there may be”(Sagan) and the existence of that knowledge is explained by classification(Foucault). Today’s society is dominated by an absurd amount of technologically powered apparatuses like: cell phones, computers, tablets, tables, cars, and the list ventures endlessly forward and like every “small step for a man, and one giant leap forward for mankind” there are repercussions(The Space Race). One of the things that changed with the evolution of technology from its primitive state to its more modern version is news; once only told by an unbiased, or at least strived to be, newscasters like Walter Cronkite(Cronkite) and people were forced to watch the whole thing until what they were really interested in came on has now turned into an extremely selective and biased way of reporting the news with outstandingly big downsides that has lead society to be harshly less informed about what is going on around them and more susceptible to having their opinion swayed with possible misclassification of news. By the end of 2010 more people claimed to be receiving their news intake from the internet than from newspapers(Featured in Social Media) and with the simplified access to ...

...Different gas shoppers ITT Tech Institute Classifications There are many types of people who purchase gasoline, but three types are easy to spot. All three have an obvious physical appearance which sets them apart from other gas purchasers. Each also has a distinctive pumping technique and freely vocalizes his opinion. Finally, each type has a particular way of annoying every other patron at the same location. The first type of gas purchaser is Leisure Lou. He can be identified immediately by his appearance. He drives a station wagon with wooden side panels and a bumper sticker that tells the world that he is retired. His Hawaiian print shirt captures everyone's attention. He wears Bermuda shorts and black socks with sandals. On his head sits a fly fisherman's hat which is his obvious display of a continuous state of leisure. His pumping technique also sets him apart from the normal crowd. When he parks his car, he stops at the first pump, preventing the use of the pump in front of him. He always pays for his gas in advance, so that the attendant can preset the pump and he will not have to worry about stopping the pump himself. He activates the pump before opening the access door and unscrewing the tank lid. He tucks the hose under his elbow and spills gas on his hip while opening the tank. As Leisure Lou leans against the side of his car, he pumps his gas absent-mindedly, confident that the pump will stop before gas pours onto the ground. Once the pump stops, he replaces...

...Dakota Sneed English 131 – section 13 Paper 4 3 April 2015 The Variety of truck Drivers at Pilot Travel Center. When someone hears the term “truck stop” the likelihood that the common cognition of “stereotypes” comes to mind are pretty high; these conventional images include: fat, nasty, and rude. However, there are multiple different kinds of people to encounter at a travel center. A truck stop is kind of like an airport; there is so much diversity in the people everywhere you turn. There’s this girl Alexis who has been working at Pilot Travel Center for about two and half years. When she first started, she too thought the same – all truckers are fat and nasty. To her surprise, there are so many different kinds of personalities that walk in the door; you’ll be astonished that they are in the truck driving industry. After quick examination Alexis was able to narrow “these people” down to four specific categories; the creepy flirts, the professional clean cuts, the grumpy jerks, and of course, the stinky fats-o’s. Now, with that being said, sit back and try to visualize these unique individuals. First up, the creepy flirts; these are the men who will turn any type of conversation into an episode of Date Night. One of the procedures that have to be met while working at Pilot Flying J is asking for the "my rewards card," if for some reason the customer doesn’t have the card physically with them it can be looked up by the number associated with the account. ...Mornings and I have never been the best of friends. Waking from a long night's sleep never makes me feel fully fueled. Once I finally pull myself out of my warm fortress, its to the bathroom to prepare myself for the day. Now back to my bedroom to choose an outfit this is always a tough decision especially in Michigan; I can’t depend on the weather man these days. Settling on an outfit that is cute yet goes with any weather condition is taken care of, its to the kitchen to make the most important decision of my morning, breakfast. In the morning when I am debating on what I want to eat, while also thinking about how much time I have to prepare a meal; I keep in mind my schedule for the day, and how much energy I will need. Grabbing a snack on the way out of the door is something to hold me over if I don't have to do much during the day, cooking a nice meal when I know I have a long day ahead of me and will need a lot of energy, and trying to refrain from grabbing some fast food while I’m on the go is something I try so hard not to do, but I'd rather have a little bit of energy from McDonalds Sausage Muffin rather than no energy at all. Insurance Classification

...Insurance Classification Insurance classification is the method insurance companies use to put potential insured clients into groups which are based on varying levels of risk and whether they should be covered by insurance, the cost and length. Some factors used to determine the terms are age, sex, marital status and occupation. This is also similar to how classes are divided in society. Those who have more wealth are usually given higher statuses. Similarly, insurance companies give better coverage to those who pay higher premiums. When determining loss during insurance classification information is collected in a database, factors such as life expectancy are predicted, and ratios are used to calculate expected loss. The actual loss is calculated for each insured person. A person pays an insurance premium for a period of time. When he or she has claims these are considered to be losses. A loss ratio is a ratio of losses to premiums. If the loss ratio is high that means that the insurance holder was charged too little for their premiums. If it is low then the policy holder was charged too much. In order to compete with other companies insurance companies have to offer lower premiums. So the insurance company has to pass on the additional cost to other policy holders. This leads to high losses. As a result, the insurance company will have to pay more money for the claims and will not have much left. In order, to cover...

...Carlos L. Valverde NT2580 Unit1/Assignment 2 03/25/13 Impact of a Data Classification Standard “Internal Use Only” This is my brief report on the IT infrastructure domain. I will be describing the “internal use only “data classification standards set by Richman Investments. The user domain is the first layer of the IT infrastructure I will discuss that is affected by the “internal use only” standard. It is the first layer and what some believe to be the weakest in the infrastructure. The user domain is where personal information is created and obtained for internal use only. Each person will have set permissions on what they can and cannot do. This way no one person can mess up or delete anything that doesn’t need to be (Jones and Bartlett Learning). The work station domain is the second layer of the infrastructure that I will discuss. This is also affected by the “internal use only” standard. This layer is where the user can access the network and any applications or information on the system. This requires a user to login with a password or authentication of some kind. This has to be done before this person can get to this information. This will help keep people out that aren’t supposed to be accessing the information (Jones and Bartlett Learning). The LAN to WAN domain is the third layer of the infrastructure I will discuss. I feel this is also affected by the “internal use only” standard. The TCP ...

Budget Classifications

...Budget Classifications No matter what type of company is operating or what industry the company is involved in, there must be various budgets in order for the organisation to run effectively and efficiently. These budgets include sales budget, production budget, cash budget and marketing budget. Each budget plays an important role in the operation of the company. The sales budget is a detailed schedule. It will show what the expected sales are for a particular budget period. The budget periods can be weekly, monthly or annually, depending on the needs of the organisation. The sales budget is expressed in dollar amounts as well as units of production. This budget is an essential part of financial management. It will help the company determine current sales as well as help to forecast future sales. This is the first step to preparing a master budget. (Khan and Hildreth 2002). The production budget will determine how many units must be produced within a budget period in order to meet the needs of sales. This is always prepared after the sales budget. The production requirements will often be influences by the level of inventory that is desired at the end of production. All inventories must be carefully planned because too much inventory can tie up funds and can also cause problems regarding storage. (Quinn 1980). Cash budget is a very important part of planning. This is a detailed plan that will depict exactly how the cash resources within the organisation will be acquired...

Accurate and simple data classification task can help the clustering of large dataset appropriately. In this paper we have experimented and suggested a simple ANN based classification models called as Minimal ANN ( MANN) for different classification problems. The GA is used for optimally finding out the number of neurons in the single hidden layered model. Further, the model is trained with Back Propagation (BP) algorithm and GA (Genetic Algorithm) and classification accuracies are compared. It is revealed from the simulation that our suggested model can be a very good candidate for many applications as these are simple with good performances. Keywords- ANN, Genetic Algorithm, Data classification I. INTRODUCTION Data classification is a classical problem extensively studied by statisticians and machine learning researchers. Music Classification

...situation. The key however, is the type of music and its classification. The type of music can be determined by the singer, types of instruments used and of course the rhythm. The classifications for types of music are often not based on the set parameters, though there are definitions for individual styles of music. For example Jazz is the only style of music that is completely American and is often characterized by fast tempos, lots of brass instruments and what is considered off beat rhythms. Female Jazz vocalists like Ella Fitzgerald typically sing in a contralto or alto vocal range. When one desires to become a vocalist, he or she must first determine the range in which they qualify. When one desires to becomes a vocalist he or she must first determine the range in which they qualify. Vocalization has different types. It depends on the type of voice in which bass is the lowest range and is normally a male singing voice. Baritone is the middle range for males and tenor is generally the highest range for male singers. For females, contralto is normally the lowest and on some occasions can be similar to the highest male’s voice. Mezzo soprano is the second highest for female singers and soprano is the highest for the female voice. The voice can also be considered as an instrument in a band today Musical instruments have similar classifications and they are the string, wind and percussion. The classification of instruments is normally based on the sound and how it...
