Club IT Part 1

Club IT is a night club that Rueben Keys and Lisa Tejada have put together, to provide some high quality entertainment for everyone to enjoy, especially their adult friends. The mission statement for Club It is “We, Ruben and Lisa, offer you live music, DJ’s, dance space, and refreshments that suit your lifestyle. You are our friends, and we seek to build a community that meets regularly at Club IT.” (R. Kelly Rainer & Turban, 2009) What Rueben and Lisa have done is take a 6000 square foot location, remodeled it to accommodate a 600 square foot dance floor, seating for 220 people, four wells and bar, a kitchen that serves appetizers and short orders. They have different music genres every week providing a variety of musical acts to fit a variety of consumers. They have a limited information system that provides just the basics for tracking, employees and information access and security.
My goal is to provide the needed information that will guide Rueben and Lisa to make the necessary additions and changes to their technical and information systems that will ultimately prove to be profitable for them in the long run. First we need to address the security of their information system, we see that the employees and proprietors all have the same user name and password and can view the same information, personal and otherwise. Employees need their own user names and passwords and only have access to their own personal info and their own stats, limited access. The owners should have their own as well with unlimited access to all information. The employees of Club IT can access the website by using their own personal user id and password and can view information like paystubs, wages, job description, and hours worked. This can make it easier…...

There are many things to consider such as security, data management, ethical, and legal restraints. There will need to be firewalls in place and word encrypting to protect sensitive information from hackers. Data analysis of information can be very valuable to an organization such as Club IT. ... would be to use Sysco as much as possible for more than just the food supply we are currently using them for. Since our primary focus is not the food and beverage portion and we are looking to create a youthful meal with the atmosphere and not a custom five course meal. This will enable us to reduce time needed in the receiving shipments tracking and billing of multiple suppliers as well as possibly reduce our percentages on each item since we will be using them for more products. When consolidating the food, beverages and alike into one or two suppliers this will also increase the supply chain and our management of it. This will enable us to reduce time focused on many down to a few allowing for more time to improve sound and ambiance on the consumer increasing their overall experience. A happy customer is not only a repeat customer but a bragger. The longer we are able to have our guests the more they will likely spend replenishing their thirsty bodies with beverages, but aside from the complementary sale dancing does not generate continuous revenue. By placing groups towards the dance floor will allow them to want to begin dancing sooner this will allow tables in the back to get turned faster since they will not want to remain stagnant. Those who come to Club IT want to be apart of the live vibe one gets from listening to the many different types of music. What our sales tell us is the total sales for the week of January 1, 2005 but lack a more in depth account of......

... God given to Muhammad and it wasn’t until 18 years after Muhammad’s death that the Qur`an was written into text by Muhammad’s Caliphs in order to preserve the teachings. Unlike Judaism, Islam recognizes the prophets of Christianity and Judaism, as being the predecessor to the true religion Islam. As in the past with Monotheistic religions Islam too is experiencing trials and tribulations between sects causing a split between Shi’a and Sunni’s. This was due to disagreement of succession after Muhammad’s death (Fisher, 2005). To the Muslims there commandments are known as the Five Pillars of Islam including Jihad. A true Muslim must fulfill his commitment to God by adhering to these commandments (Fisher, 2005). Although Islam is the youngest of Monotheistic religions it is rapidly increasing it fellowship reaching throughout the world. As we have seen there is more in common with the tree Monastic religions then one may think. All are based on the same God as well as the same ancestry. The differences are in the worship practices and beliefs. The creation of each individual religion is due in part to the reuniting humanity with God. The sole belief that there is one God the creator of all and the protector of all is the basis for Monotheistic religions. As mankind moves into the future we have seen the beginning of yet another offspring to God in the Mormon religion. Setting forth new prophets yet the same basis to restore the relationship of God and Man. ......

...Club It, Part One I recently was hired to analyze Club It’s information management needs. I met with Ruben Keys and Lisa Tejada the club owners on a Monday afternoon after spending the Friday night before with some friends at Club It. I was pleasantly surprised at the professionalism and first class nature of the club. Although the club had a good crowd I could see where several strategies could be put into place to attract more clients. Club It like any other business should know the informational technology resources available to them in order to become an efficient and very successful organization. Several strategies as well as business models can be used to help Club It with their own business needs and assuring that their business will be successful. Strategies that can assist Club It to be successful are, cost leadership strategy, differentiation strategy, innovation strategy, operational effectiveness strategy, and customer orientation strategy [ (Rainer & Turban, 2009) ]. Club It’s Mission and Primary Clientele Club It’s Mission is, "We, Ruben and Lisa, offer you live music, DJ's, dance space and refreshments that suit your lifestyle. You are our friends, and we seek to build a community that meets regularly at Club IT" (Rainer & Turban, Welcome to Club It). This mission statement is well stated and serves the long term goal Ruben and Lisa share for the future of the club. From speaking with Ruben and Lisa along with my observation the primary...

... Assignment: Club IT, Part 1 Jermaine Bullock XBIS/219 - Business Information Systems 4/18/14 Wes Stinehelfer The Club IT has a very unique and trendy concept for a nightclub. The administrative team is determined to bring the most relaxing and enjoyable experience from the atmosphere and musical ambiance, while formulating long-tern reoccurring clientele to come and enjoy themselves on a consistent basis. Most clubs seek consistent appearances from regular clientele, but Club IT is striving to seek long-lasting relationships that will develop into “a community” of clientele. This endeavor to cultivate “a community” will need a well executed plan of action that is supported by a technically sound digital support team. This will be the pillar that will support and dictate Club IT’s success to accomplish its mission (Club IT, 2010). The administrative team consists of two determined and eager entrepreneurs that have paid their dues in terms of working multiple jobs and earning the degrees necessary to place them in a suitable position to open a nightclub such as Club IT. The two owners are a step ahead of its competition because they recognize and understand that they need to expand and grow as a company and as leaders to their developing clientele base. The administrative team is responsible for the vision of Club IT and must strive daily to bring Club IT’s mission to fruition. From further review of the Club IT website, and a brief outing within the club...

...Club IT Part 1 4.16.12 XBIS/219 1. Club IT description Club IT was established by two college friends Lisa and Ruben, whose dream was to become owners of a night club. That plan was put into action by opening up Club IT. Club IT is a young vibrant nightclub that is geared towards the younger generation ranging in ages 18 to 30 years of age. It is a nicely sized club with plenty of seating and enough room for all groovers to put there dancing skills to use with 600sq ft of dancing space. There is live music during the weekends and a hired DJ during the week. The club has a lot going on for itself drawing the younger crowd out every week. These owners strive to make there business a success by always making there club a hangout for there community. The owners are moving into the right direction by taking advantage of the e-commerce activites to help there business stay ahead in this competitive market. Although the club is doing well, both Lisa and Ruben as owners could use a little help in there IT department. This is where I come in to help analyze what Lisa and Rueben already have to make their business run more effieiciently. 2. Information Technology Infrastructure The role of information technology infrastructure is to implement organization and to help produce and store pertnant information. I noticed that the owners have a dial-up connection which means that most if not all of the club’s business is done on a network. Lisa and Ruben use a...

Club It Part 1

...Club IT (Part 1) Club IT has been one of the most successful night clubs in the area. They offer a wide variety of music, appetizers, drinks and atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. Club IT is something great for all ages 21 and up. They offer inexpensive drinks and food and they also provide great security so clients will feel safe while having a great time. One of the main attractions it the dance floor where clients can let loose and forget about a long day’s work behind them. Something clients do not notice when they go to Club IT to have a great time is the lack of information system that the business has. They don’t really notice because this is something that should be completely transparent to them. Information systems collects, processes, stores, analyzes and disseminates information for a specific purpose. In this case Club IT will use information systems to better their business and make things easier on the owners (Ruben Keys and Lisa Tejada) and on the employees. Something that I can implement in the business as an intern for Ruben and Lisa as an expert in information system is a strategy that will give them an advantage over other businesses competing with them. The first strategy that I would implement as an intern for Ruben and Lisa is the Operational Effectiveness Strategy. This strategy will improve the manner in which internal business processes are executed so that the business has a better performance. Under this strategy we can introduce to the company a...

...Club IT was founded by Ruben Keys and Lisa Tejada whom are both former musicians that used their talent and love for music to work them through college. Ruben and Lisa both have obtained degrees in Business Administration and found that through their love music and the college courses they completed that a dream of theirs would be to open a nightclub. The mission for Club IT is that “We, Ruben and Lisa, offer you live music, DJ’s, dance space and refreshments that suite your lifestyle. You are our friends, and we seek to build a community that meets regularly from Club IT.” The best way for Club IT to promote their mission statement and to provide a place for a community to be established is through a diverse clientele. To meet the needs of a vast clientele Club IT offers a different sound to the club each month. When the calendar changes from month to month a sound and rhythm will accompany Club IT and the dance floor. The following acts will be featured beginning in January and ending in December; local bands, world DJ’s, NYC bands, Open Mike, Country, San Francisco Bands, Alternative, R&B, Hip-hop, Latin, Jazz, and Folk. With such an eclectic mix of bands, sounds, styles, and flavor, Club IT will have the ability to create the community that is the goal of the mission statement. Functional areas of Club IT are dining, merchandise, and the layout of the club itself. Information resources are used to enhance each of these areas by utilizing the intranet...
