Mr. Kirby,
In regards to your concerns with paying sales taxes, there are some details to the tax matter that may be of interest to you. Understandably, having to pay sales tax is bothersome. Included in my email are different areas that sales tax contributes to our community and state that may change your mind once you have reviewed the information. Amongst the contributions of sales tax should that should be included are, water purification, maintence of parks, educational funding, salary funding for our local police and fire department, and also helps Social Services fund needed resources to the unfortunate. …show more content…
In order to maintain our drinking water in a clean state, we must provide compensation to the individuals that forgo the process of eliminating containments that make the water unsafe. The individuals that clean our water must be compensated for their time and work... Unfortunately to retrieve a team of volunteers that are willing to work every day to ensure our water is clean, has yet to be found. There is not an owner of the water department. It is controlled and operated by individual city/state. The funding for such an invaluable service is provided through the collection of sales tax.
Playing at a clean well maintained park is what we all want for our children, family and friends. Cleaning a park takes a lot of time and effort. In order to keep a park clean from litter we must pay wages to individuals to cut the grass, trim the trees, pick up the litter, maintain the playground equipment, and maintain all the signs and buildings. Paying Sales tax on cars, boats, and SUVs are one way that we can ensure all of the maintance duties are fulfilled so that we may enjoy our outdoors
