You can use social media for marketing and you can increase your sales figures from it. But there are some don’ts and dos about social media when using it as a strategy to improve the business’s ability
Don’t do the hard sell:
This might be the most common mistake business make and the most difficult lesson for small business owner. Companies need to understand that social media is not just a way to sell to their customers, but rather a chance to build on their relationships and find out what customers really need, which means the companies should provide the offerings with value to meet their needs and wants, so that they can become the better provider. Ultimately, this will help business succeed but time, effort and patience are required.
The reason why business is required not to do the hard sell is that this will break down trust and can be negative. For example, if you have been trying to build relationships with your customers and suddenly you go in with the hard sell, they can easily abandon you, as a result, all of your good work has gone down the drain.
Therefore, knowing the social media is about building the relationship with customers and growing trust, businesses should answer questions of customers, providing helpful information and serving as a trusted resource. Social media can offer a space for selling, but it does need in a much more subtle way so that the activities can grow business’s bottom line.
Do be transparent and authentic:
Given the fact that transparency and authenticity are the keys to a successful presence, it is necessary to be transparent and authentic if the business uses social media for delivering information to the public.
Many companies have learnt that social media is quick to uncover fake behaviors , that is to say if the business do something wrong or provide some false message, their activities will be spotted to the
