I decided to use Colloidal silver as my topic.
The main reason I choose this is my passion to educate others to the benefits of non-western doctor prescribed medicine. I have a belief there are many things which can be helped and cured using natural means, with fruit, vegetables and naturally occurring minerals.
My belief is that many of the medicines toted by doctors can infact make you more unwell, then requiring more medicine and lining the pockets of the Huge Pharmaceutical companies.
Hence my research and sharing of the information I have on a simple product known as colloidal silver has been misrepresented as a cure, but then goes on the state all the uses that colloidal silver can be used for topically and internally, when used in the correct doses. http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-779-COLLOIDAL%20SILVER.aspx?activeIngredientId=779&activeIngredientName=COLLOIDAL%20SILVER
With controversial topics that challenge the “normal” beliefs I find personally looking into uses through history often helpful thing be link here shows the uses of colloidal silver throughout history dating back to 4,000BC article written and referenced By Dr J Wesley Alexander seems to be a well-researched and factual piece of writing. He has cited 9 references used for his research http://tse.colloidalsilverkillsviruses.com/pdf/history.pdf
The springer article I have included here gives positive feedback on the results of using colloidal silver and other silver products in the treatment of Proteus bacteria, one possible cause of rheumatoid arthritis. I located this article while looking for recent studies. This is a creditable source, being a study conducted with the affiliation of the following Author Affiliations * Pathology Queensland, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Woolloongabba, Brisbane, QLD, 4102, Australia * Microbiology Department, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte, Sri Lanka * Laroo Research, Ipswich, QLD, Australia * Wellness Focus Centre (WFC), Coorparoo, Brisbane, QLD, Australia * School of Biomolecular and Physical Sciences, Griffith University, Nathan, Brisbane, QLD, 4111, Australia
The last reference I have included, is from Byron J Richards I found while google searching for information, it is very comprehensive well referenced and covers both fact and fallacy around the uses of colloidal silver for wellness. http://www.wellnessresources.com/health/articles/the_colorful_history_of_colloidal_silver_other_silver_compounds/ Looking forward to sharing more findings with you on this topic.…...

Modification of security holdings happens only when companies periodically enter or leave the target index. [edit] Synthetic indexing Synthetic indexing is a modern technique of using a combination of equity index futures contracts and investments in low risk bonds to replicate the performance of a similar overall investment in the equities making up the index. Although maintaining the future position has a slightly higher cost structure than traditional passive sampling, synthetic indexing can result in more favourable tax treatment, particularly for international investors who are subject to U.S. dividend withholding taxes. The bond portion can hold higher yielding instruments, with a trade-off of corresponding higher risk, a technique referred to as enhanced indexing. [edit] Enhanced indexing Enhanced indexing is a catch-all term referring to improvements to index fund management that emphasize performance, possibly using active management.......

Silver Fiddle Case

...4. Silver Fiddle Case Risks and mitigations Not meeting the five-month time estimate is another risk that may be encountered. Lack of labor and equipment might be a problem because other houses are to be built. It will be advisable to evaluate the sequence in which these building activities will occur, and distribute resources evenly across each house. Silver Fiddle could apply Heuristics, or the rules of thumb to create a framework work for allocating resources in such a situation. A contingency plan will be to lease or hire additional equipment to augment the ones the company already has. A shortage of building materials is another risk that is possible. Supplies may run short due to the fact that Silver fiddle has many other homes to build. I would suggest purchase of building supplies in large quantities, and store them, pending when they will be needed. Since Silver Fiddle is scheduled to build 11 homes this year, there might not be many available subcontractors to work on the Czopek’s home. Silver Fiddle will do well to develop a detailed time estimation based on parametric procedures. This will ensure that particular local trade professionals will be available when needed, well in advance. As a backup plan, alternate subcontractors outside the area that are sure to be available within the stipulated time, should be contacted. The book keeper in this construction company is employed only on a part time basis, and this...

The Silver Bullet Information

...When Brooks uses the term "silver bullet," he is referring to a miracle fix to be able to create better software more efficiently, while keeping reliability and security. The push for discovering a "silver bullet" has been amplified by the speed that hardware has been advancing. It has been easier to advance hardware over software because hardware is a physical object, while software is abstract. This has is an advantage because new materials can been found that are smaller, faster, and easier to produce. However since software is abstract, it is up to the team developing the software to overcome essence difficulties and accidental difficulties of technology. Essence difficulties are challenges that are just a part of computer science that are unavoidable. Complexity is a good example of this because as we create new features, the developers have to add to previous software because the old software has features that are still being used. Accidental difficulties are challenges that have been created by computer scientists that are slowing down the process. Computer language is an example of this because old languages took a long time to develop with, but as new languages have been created, the developing process has sped up. These two types of difficulties are different due because of what creates them. Essence difficulties are mostly characteristics of software, while accidental difficulties are introduced by computer scientists. When developing ultra-large-scale......

Analysis of Silver Linings Playbook

...Emily Kraft, RN “Silver Linings Playbook” Review: Family Dynamics Trocaire College Everybody has a little bit of crazy in them right? The film Silver Linings Playbook is the perfect example of this statement. The movie was released in 2012 and was based on the novel The Silver Linings Playbook. The film was a blockbuster in the theaters along with winning countless Academy Awards and Golden Globe nominations. The Solitano family had many issues that were portrayed over time such as marriage problems, gambling, losing jobs, lying, mental problems, relationship problems; you name it and they had it. If it weren't for everyday common struggles among the average American family, people wouldn't know how to fight for their families or cope with the choices and consequences. I believe that these circumstances make us better and much stronger people, and we therefore, end up with stronger relationships within our family and friendships. Out of the list of films provided to choose from, I chose Silver Linings Playbook because I had heard many great things from fellow coworkers and friends. I'm surprised I hadn't watched it any sooner than I did. The film really showed me every individual within an average family lives day to day with internal struggles that are hard to overcome without the help of a support network. The main character, Pat Solitano Jr., who is played by Bradley Cooper, is a man with bipolar disorder who just left a psychiatric hospital in Maryland to return......

Silver Bear Spread

Several noteworthy firms also support this hypothesis, including UBS, CPM Group, and HSBC Holdings. UBS, for example, lowered their 2014 silver price forecast December 2, 2013, citing that “the new year will likely tempt investors to move out of precious metals into other assets.” They lowered their average price expectations for silver from $25 previously to $20.50/oz. for 2014 and from $24 to $21 in 2015. For the purpose of this assignment, I am assuming the role of a speculator. As such, I will open a Silver Bear Spread with the intention to capture a significant short-term profit – the intended result based on my hypothesis that silver prices will continue to trend lower. Silver Supply and Demand Economics Industrial demand growth, driven by technology advances for several decades, appears to have plateaued. In the last decade......

I think she wanted to, planned to. She did love me at first. My young heart bonded to her because she loved me. I tried so hard not to change. I tried so hard it hurt. But I couldn't hold it back for long. Horror at my hideous form killed all her love for me. But her disgust didn’t kill my love for her. I don't remember my life before I came to Mistress. I know I did not come to be when I first looked in her face, but I can remember nothing else of my life. She named me Lyneth on that day. A sore blow struck me later when she saw my ungodly form and hardened her heart against me. I suppose I was fortunate she didn’t kill me or turn me out. But she kept me. Though her rejection tortured me, I preferred it to isolation. She never called me by the name she gave me after that. She only called...

Silver vs Gold

...Abstract The historic silver/gold price ratio was 15 or 16:1, but in recent years, silver is relatively cheaper ranging from about 40:1 to 80:1. On Jan 24th, 2003, with silver at $4.89/oz. and gold at $368/oz., the ratio is 75:1. This means that silver is currently undervalued, and cheaper than historic norms, and thus it is better investment than even gold if investors want to “buy low and sell high”. The supply and demand fundamentals for silver are extraordinary. Annual supply is about 650 million ounces, and annual demand is about 800 million ounces. Considering refined and mined known silver reserves, there are far less silver in the world than gold. About 150 million ounces of silver vs. 4000 million ounces of gold. Investors may get so much silver for their money. A bag of junk silver weighs about 55 pounds, and the size of a bowling ball. If investors invested $100,000 into junk silver coins, at $3500/bag, that would give them 28.5 bags each weighing 55 pounds, or 57 bags weighing 27 pounds each, or about 1571 pounds total. Could they imagine moving that much around their house if they had to move? Silver is so cheap it creates physical problems for investors today! Keywords Silver, Gold, Awareness, Differences, Prospective, Investment. Chapter 1 Introduction Lately, value investors are moving towards into silver investment rather than gold investment due their infatuation and brighter prospect gain look continuously. True, both metals have not...

Silver Linings Playbook

...consider possible pitfalls. Filled with optimism, they rarely listen when others try to slow them down”1. Pat definitely showed signs of this because he was trying to prove to himself and Nikki that he was making himself better by exercising all the time, reading through the night, having the word “excelsior” be his mantra by taking all the negativity that comes in his life, and using it as fuel to find a silver lining. He had the belief that if you work your hardest and believe, then you had a shot at a silver lining. * Behavioral Classical: Typically someone who is bipolar tends to be very active and talks very fast. In the scene when Pat and Tiffany are sitting at the diner, he continuously rambled about how sexual Tiffany’s past was with very inappropriate questions even though he was aware that how he was speaking would be frowned upon by Nikki. Throughout the movie, he tends to say more inappropriate comments without filtering or thinking about what he says first. The benefit with Pat’s condition is he was trying to do work that benefits himself to find that silver lining, so he doesn’t put himself in a situation by doing dangerous activities. Pat also became classically conditioned to react negatively towards the song from his wedding to either become aggressive or can’t focus on what the reality is around him. He let the song become a monster in his head. * Sociocultural – Pat’s dad admitted during the climax of the film that he spent too much time with his......

Effects of the Silver Trade

...Effects of the Silver Trade With the extensive mining in Japan and the colonization of Central and South America by Spain came a huge industry of silver for the entire world. This industry effected many countries, and even dominated a few socially and economically. At first glance, all seemed good. But in reality, only the middlemen were profiting from the large industry. The suppliers, Japan and Spain, as well as the receiver, China, were hurt in the entire process. The economies of the major players in the silver trade eventually suffered. The Europeans traded a valuable, lasting resource for perishable items, like silk and porcelain (Doc 8). The silver basically flowed out of Spain for these luxury goods (Doc 2). Being a scholar, Tomàs de Mercado saw the effect of the trade on the streets of Spain every day. This gives him a good point of view in the manual about business that he wrote. China was also hurt by the loss of silver that the middleman took as payment. In china, the government forced people to pay taxes in silver, so the government could get more. This hurt the people of china that didn’t have any silver to pay with, but rather only rice and grain (Doc 3). Wang Xijue, a court official in the Ming Empire, was writing this to the emperor of china. he was basically saying that the public needs more silver in order for the economy to fix itself. Ironically enough, the gaining of silver by the government was what led to an even worse economy. The concept of......
