Community Teaching Proposal

...Community teaching proposal is detailed and comprehensive with supportive evidence and a detailed description of barriers and strategies to overcome barriers. Evidence from current literature and statistical / demographic data published on the community thoroughly supports the proposal in all required areas of the work plan. PROPOSED COMMUNITY TEACHING When required, “the Amish are permitted to use modern health care facilities and services including surgery, hospitalization, anesthesia, blood transfusions, and dental work.  However, distance, lack of transportation, and cost can serve as barriers to accessing the health care delivery system” (Julia, 1996, p.27).  In contrast with modern American culture, health promotion and disease prevention are not priorities among the Amish.  Accordingly, immunizations for communicable diseases are accepted, but only about 58% of Amish children have received such immunizations (Julia, 1996, p.32).  Furthermore, Amish are generally reactive, rather than proactive, regarding healthcare.  Overall, health is highly valued in the Amish culture and they consider their bodies to be God’s temple.  Nurses and other healthcare providers must develop open and trusting relationships with their Amish patients.  This can start with a focus on family-centered care.  Furthermore, the nurse needs knowledge of the Amish belief system and way of life to provide culturally sensitive care. Using empowering strategies will help to make the Amish feel......

Fullbright Essay

...The Fulbright Essays Two essays are required: The Personal Statement and the Study/Research Proposal. These essays serve very different but complementary purposes. Unless noted, the following information comes straight from the Fulbright Web site. THE PERSONAL STATEMENT (1 Page) The following information is applicable to both Study/Research and ETA applicants: The Personal Statement should be a narrative giving a picture of you as an individual.  Remember, applicants are not interviewed on the national level. The Personal Statement is your opportunity to “talk” about yourself and to tell the committee more about how you came to this point in your life and where you see yourself in the future.  There is no single “right way” to approach the Statement; rather candidates will consider what they think is important for people reviewing the application to know about them. The Statement can deal with your personal history, family background, influences on your intellectual development, the educational and cultural opportunities (or lack of them) to which you have been exposed, and the ways in which these experiences have affected you.  Also, you may include your special interests and abilities, career plans, and life goals, etc. It should not be a recording of facts already listed on the application or an elaboration of your Statement of Grant Purpose.   It is more of an autobiography, and specifically related to you and your aspirations. Adhere to the following......

Covered Court Project Proposal

...Finance Project Proposal (Construction of Multi-Purpose Covered Court with Stage Extension in N. Aboboto Mem. School, Brgy. Sapul, Calapan City) Prepared by: Abrigo, Nina Kristel E. Garcia, Glecel Martija, Ernie Atienza, Sheryl Ace Submitted to: Miss Michelle Luzon I. INTRODUCTION Covered courts serve the community a standard of care where people of all ages and skill levels can enjoy a variety of activities and amenities aimed at enhancing learning and enjoyment. In school, lack of facility like this causes few physical activities that contribute to an increased rate of obesity, lowered levels of wellbeing and reduced general enjoyment of the experience at school. In West Vancouver, Canada, Michelle LaBounty, head of Ecole Cedardale School, proposed a paved and partially fenced covered sports court to accommodate basketball, ball hockey, futsol, 4 square and hopscotch in January 2015. The school has no facility of this kind either on the Cedardale playground or within the immediate proximity of the school.  Play choices are relatively limited and intermediate students regularly request opportunities to exercise their recess periods in the gymnasium.  This poses complications with regards to adequate supervision and limits the frequency and number of students/grades that can participate cooperatively. Cedardale has seen a growth in population in the past few years, not only because it is now a full K-7 school, but due to increased community interest,......
