Then, Eratosthenes was irrational for having affairs, while Euphiletus was rational having witnesses to catch his wife during her affair. Eratosthenes was a professional adultery and he had little difficulty in winning affections to numerous of women (Kebric, p. 205). He even dumped his former mistress to have an affair with Euphiletus’ wife. Even though Euphiletus’ wife, was having an affair behind his back, he later suspected that she was having an affair. In order to find out if his wife was having an affair, he found a servant to ask about his wife affair and had threatened to punish her if she did not tell the truth. Diogeiton brother, Diodotus was a wealthy business man. Since he was a wealthy business man, Diogeiton decided to give his daughter away to marry his brother. His brother was called up for service and realized that he could be killed. Instead of leaving his wife in charge of their children and money, he made his brother Diogeiton in charge of it, leaving him a will. Unfortunately, Diodotus had died, and the brother was now in charge. When Diogeton found out about his brother being dead, he kept it a secret for a year, so he can embezzled his brother’s money. This was irrational of him to do that. He eventual told the family that their father was dead and his wife planned a funeral the funeral for Diodutus (Kebric, p. 217). Diogeiton revealed to his brothers boys that his there was a small fraction of money that was available for them (Kebric, p.221). The boys knew that their grandfather was cheating them, so they told their mom (Kebric, p. 221). When their mom found out, she had a meeting with Diogeiton and other family members and told him that he should be ashamed of himself for cheating out his family (Kebric, p. 222).
