After the time of Zoroaster the Aryan, pagan people employed Mehr priests called Karapans. They dressed in robes and long caps that flipped over a bit at the top. Unlike their original Aryan counterparts these priests sacrificed animals and plants to fire, and they became intoxicated from haoma. The following account gives us a snapshot.

Pantheism is the belief that the universe (or nature, as the totality of everything) is identical with divinity. Or that everything composes an all-encompassing, God. Hinduism, although it encompasses Pantheism and Panentheism, is monistic. Monism finds that one single Creative Essence surrounds and penetrates all things.
Panentheism holds that the being of God includes and penetrates all the Universe; but unlike pantheism the universe is not identical with God. When people call on the Universe, it is not the same as calling on the Creator - of the universe. God is not composed of creation no matter how broad the scope. A Creator needs no help from creation. What does a house know about the guy or gal who built it?
There is one absolute eternal and infinite essence. All things including human beings, are not independent substances but only modes or manifestations of the Absolute, which encompasses and pervades all of the Universe. So why is this beautiful Faith placed under Syncretism? The intentionally syncretic cause of the Sikh Faith was to make sense of, and discover the unity between the teachings of Sri Krishna, Mohammad and even Christ, in a cruel time when people were being offered conversion or death.
Guru Nanak said “There is no Hindu, there is no Muslim.” He did not acknowledge castes. All were to be treated as equals no matter what the perks of their birth might be. Although Guru Nanak was not a Revealer of God’s Word he was a delight and a balm for humanity! A quintessential wise man. So also, were the other Gurus.
He believed in a society without any distinctions based on birthright, religion or sex. He insisted that everyone present at his gatherings sit together and share a common meals seated on the ground, whether they were kings or beggars.
