Our Earth is the most valuable thing to us because without it, we would have nowhere to live, and without an earth we would not have a home. Since this is the planet we call home, don’t you think we should at least take care of it and everything around it? Well the answer is yes, because if we are not taking care of the earth you are basically not taking care of your own home. Water is the most important thing on the earth because without it, we would not be able to live. The second most important thing is the soil, because without it we would not be able to grow food. When you litter, you are ruining the soil and taking away all of its nutrients, and when you have bad nutrients in your soil, it will produce bad crops. However, there is not enough of it being done in order to make a difference of any sort of significance. In fact twenty three states record zero percent of their municipal waste is composted. The number is even worse when you realize that only fourteen states have recorded five percent of their municipal waste being composted. So that comes out to a total of thirty seven states showing an average of only two and half percent of their municipal waste being composted. The highest percent recorded is twenty percent, and only two states can claim that. In fact, when you take the amount of municipal trash that is composted, you will find that only six and one tenth percent of the total trash is composted.
