R.F.J. Plumbing, Inc. is a plumbing service company that provides plumbing services from installations, repairs, and new construction. We are committed to offering an excellent level of customer service. We want to provide this service with an intense passion and an achievement in which we take great pride. Every job assigned to us or that we acquire, we aim to deliver quality professionalism and skill. Our company’s primary goal is customer satisfaction with every job. We are totally committed to serving you better than any other company with our courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly service. That is what R.F.J. Plumbing, Inc. is all about!
R.F.J. Plumbing, Inc. started in January 2009, with one employee and that employee was the owner. Since then we have grown to two employees and plan to continue this growth every 18-24 months. Through our high standards of professional performance, quality, commitment to perform as a team, and work ethics, we aim to continually improve our dedicated and amply skilled employees. We simultaneously maintain the important family orientation that reinforces the stability and future of each employee as we continue to grow.
When starting a company one must consider the companies social and ethical responsibilities. Business owners must consider the entities that are important to the success of the business. R.F.J. Plumbing, Inc. has three major stakeholders. The stakeholders are Lowes Home Improvement, repeat customers, employees, and various plumbing supply vendors. These stakeholders expect certain responsibilities from our company. Each of these stakeholders look to the company for certain things employees seek broadly defined job satisfactions; customers want what they pay for; and suppliers seek dependable buyers (Pearce & Robinson, 2009, p. 50). There are a few guiding principles that RFJ Plumbing, Inc. lives by. 1) Top Quality Business Ethics--We will always conduct our business actions in the most ethical upright and honest fashion. We will not tolerate and lack in moral character. 2) Guaranteed Service Excellence--We vow to deliver the best service and guarantees to our customers and know that you will want to tell all of your family and friends about us. 3) Clients Matter—the goal for our company, is to be your plumber for life. We will refund all of your money if you are not 100% satisfied with the service we provide. Our plumbers will respect your homes by not smoking or swearing in your home, they will not leave your home without cleaning up and they are drug free. There is not another plumbing company that will service or repair their work for free if it fails with the first year. That is a guarantee R.F. J. Plumbing, Inc. offers. 4) Showing Kindness—within our company, it is a goal for employees to demonstrate some random act of kindness to every client. 5) The Future—as a family owned business. We aspire is to grow and be able to employ at least three employees and offer medical insurance for our employees. We desire to stay in business during tough times, make a profit, and honor all warranties. 6) Outstanding Warranties—R.F.J. Plumbing, Inc. believes that if we fix it, you don’t have to worry. In the plumbing industry, no other plumbing company can touch our warranties. Customers need not worry; they will not have a problem even after the warranty expires. It is the fear, that if a problem occurs a day or two after the warranty runs out they will have a problem, R.F.J. Plumbing will repair at no cost to the client.
With what is stated in our mission, vision, and values our strategic direction is planned on a 18-24 month on the job training (OJT) for all potential employees. R.F.J. Plumbing, Inc. primary source of business comes from Lowes Home Improvement stores. The remainder of our business is through building contractors for new construction, service call for housing developments and repeat customers and their friends and family members. Our plan is to hire a ride along person to watch and learn how to do various plumbing services. They will ride along with the owner and acquire the training directly from him. Once he feels the employee is proficient on certain installs, he will then allow that employee to do an install by him/herself. After 18-24 months and the employee have successfully completed the training he/she will then go out in their own truck.
R.F.J. Plumbing, Inc. is a fairly new small business and we are gradually growing into becoming a medium size plumbing company. We will reach our goals by employing highly trained plumbers and by treating our customers with gratitude and respect. We will always provide our customers with superb customer service and attend to their needs expeditiously. Our desire is not to be a fortune 500 company, but we do want to grow and remain profitable.
To get the competitive edge R.F.J. Plumbing, will continue to grow and learn. Attend plumbing trade shows to keep up with the new tools to help the employees work more efficiently. Take continuing education classes to stay abreast of any plumbing code changes. Attend networking seminars and socials to broaden our potential customer base. The goals mentioned above will keep R.F.J. Plumbing, Inc. a step above the competition and help us reach all of our goals. The one thing that we need to work on as a company is to find a way to give back to the community. This idea we acquired from fellow plumber. According to Garner Plumbing Inc. (2006-2007), “To give back to the community from which we derive our sustenance and to recognize that good will is worth more than monetary gain when worthwhile causes are helped” (Mission Statement, para. 5).
