A concussion is a trauma or a head injury that can result in loss of consciousness. Concussions are caused by a blow to the head. Concussions are very common. They are most common in high school sports. Article one states that high school students have a higher risk to concussions than older students and it may take them longer to heal. Symptoms may include headaches, loss of memory, throwing up, etc.

After a concussion, there's a time in which the brain is particularly vulnerable to other injuries and they are very cumulative.
