Ms. O is an 80 year old female who lives alone in the outskirts of Monroe County. Her nearest relative is her 83 year old brother who lives in the city. He also receives meals. She suffers from arthritis, and high blood pressure. Ms. O loves to do yard work when her health permits which is not very often. She is so happy to be receiving a meal daily. She states she likes getting the meal but loves the company more even if it is only a few minutes a day.

Mr. A is a 70 year old male who lives alone. He has experienced total blindness in his left eye. Mr. A has lived on the family property his entire life. He loves to tell stories from his childhood to anyone who will listen. He has no children but his nieces check in on him occasionally. What is interesting is that he has his name, address and contact information sewn into his cap that he wears in the advent that he should wander off from home. Amazingly, Mr. A has his own little peach orchard in the back yard that he attempts to take care of.

Mr. M is a 71 year old veteran who lives alone. He has recently been diagnosed with dementia. His daughter who is his caregiver states that he talked so much about the driver Stephanie she wanted to meet her. The daughter states that she wishes she were able to spend more time with her dad but It helps to know that he has someone that cares about him and that he trusts checking in on him daily . It really puts her mind at ease.

I have found that there are some tasks that have put the project behind schedule and over budget. For this paper I will discuss golf course irrigation automation and how it has progressed over time due to aesthetic demands and course playability. Years ago and at some smaller courses spread throughout the States still in operation, golf course irrigation systems used to require manual assistance. A hired employee worked the overnight hours watering the golf course using couplers attached to sprinkler heads. The irrigation employee would insert the required amount of heads to allow for proper water distribution, too many heads and water pressure suffers causing inadequate watering, too few heads and the underground pipe runs the risk of high pressure blow outs. Something better had to come about, using hydraulic pressure to regulate a valve at each sprinkler head and attaching that to a control box in the field, the turf managers can now set up a watering cycle during the day to automatically run at night. But these were mainly just timers and pins, very limited. Today we are using computer programs that can calculate everything needed to water a golf course both efficiently and effectively.
