Extrasensory Perception: Descriptive Phrase The introductory paragraph consists of five complete sentences. The first sentence is the thesis statement, and it must be compound: Complex. The next four sentences will cover the four Roman numerals. There should be one sentence per Roman numeral. Then you will type the body of your paper, one paragraph per letter for a total of eight body paragraphs. Mind reading or telepathy is the sending and receiving from human to human by means other than the bodies physical senses. Also, telepathy suggests that we have other physical senses other than seeing, hearing, taste, feeling, and smell, which makes us capable of sensing and receiving the mental images and emotions of other human being. Most people call this extrasensory perception, ESP for short. Tele is from the Greek word meaning far off or the distance and the root word pathy is the Greek word meaning to feel something from a distance. Some people think telepathy is telepathy is fake while other people think it’s just people being able to predict someone’s behavior because they know them well (Lance 5). Telepathy is not just an alternative form of communication that only a few highly developed individuals can use. We all unknowingly use it on a daily basis to supplement our verbal communication. Whenever we explain something to somebody, our thoughts telepathically convey impressions which supplement our words. This helps other people to understand us better on an intellectual level, or to empathize with us on an intellectual level or to empathize with us on an emotional level. Naturally people assume that we create our own thoughts and emotions, but most of them do not originally come from our subtle bodies, they are perceived telepathically. We live in a sea of other people’s ideas, thoughts and emotions. Telepathy is the portion of the collective unconsciousness that we are able to consciously perceive. But no one is trained to understand or to realize that this is going on (Lance 7). The lowest type of telepathy is an instinctive and sub-conscious faculty that we all possess to a degree. It is the least effective type of telepathy, but it is more successful between people with close emotional bonds, such as mother and child or twins. It is only capable of sending and receiving vague sub-conscious impressions, such as sensing that someone is watching you, or knowing who is calling when the phone rings. The faculty is difficult to use in a controlled manner and generally only happens spontaneously, which makes it difficult to scientifically prove. Numerous studies have provided statistically significant results that were unlikely to have occurred by chance alone, but they have not proven that it is statistically possible to transfer directly two peoples own person thoughts mind to mind (Lois 3). The higher types of telepathy are Cape both sending and receiving coherent information, but only when both people are the same appropriate development stage and are usually sufficiently practiced. Mental telepathy is true telepathy, direct mind to mind communication. Everyone at the civilize stage and above possesses it to a degree but it can only be consciously controlled at the humanistic stage on the throat chakra begins to activate. Mental telepathy can be likened to non-verbal conversation, but without the misconceptions and misunderstandings that often accompany verbal communication. Over the next few hundred years increasing numbers of advanced humans will not truly develop this ability. It is upsetting that people live this day won’t get to witness this evolution (Laile 20). as we have learned, telepathy something that is in all of us. It is something that is natural to mankind. It's crazy how oblivious people are to the idea. The majority of people think of this as something that is fiction, but it is scientifically proven to be real. Telepathy isn’t just all about reading minds, it has to with the emotion too. That is why some people just have the knowing that a person is sad about something or just picks up on the negativity of others. This is also why people just know when someone is lying also. The human mind is extremely powerful. So powerful that the human brain is considered to be the most complex structure in the universe. Meaning there are more to the brain that is beyond our human understanding (Brian 8). A major form of extra sensory perception or ESP is known as clairvoyance. When using clairvoyance, people see in a dream and accident before it happens, or locate something lost for example. Many people mistake telepathy for clairvoyance, vice versa but they are not related. A person who is highly sensitive to vibrations from the spirit world are also considered clairvoyant people. There are many people who think that it is total nonsense but the Studies prove otherwise. Some people are just more in touch with their spiritual self and are more aware of the world they live in. Lots of people don’t even dream, these people are not spiritually aware.() clairvoyance is the ability to objectively perceive the emotional astral world, or above. Clairvoyance could technically be classed as a disability, although one that confers some very interesting abilities. Clairvoyance does not necessarily indicate a high level of consciousness or spiritual evolution because clairvoyaants are found at all levels of development. We all possess a small degree of objective emotional consciousness, but the dim perception blocked by the dampening effect of our dense physical body and the intensity of our conscious mind. Our waking conscious is not trained to see and understand as adults( ). Although skepticism still remains high in our day and age, there is a lot of evidence and proof to support the real existence of clairvoyance. First of all, you need to consider the unreliable evidence. There are plenty of police forces the employ the use of psychics in solving crimes and missing person cases. If you really think about it, why would the law-enforcement spend their time and taxpayer money if there were so little to be gained. And research and studies still continue till this very day for us for a science is concerned(). There have been reports of clairvoyance and claims of clairvoyant abilities on the part of some throughout history in most cultures. Most of these episodes are experienced during young adulthood. Often these of been associated with religious figures, offices and practices. For example, ancient Hindu religious text List clairvoyance as one of the skills that can be acquired through appropriate meditation and personal discipline. But a large number of accounts of clairvoyance are of the spontaneous variety among general populace. For example, many people report instances of knowing in one form or another when a loved one has died or was in danger before we see evening notification through normal channels that such events have taken place(). Research and studies in the area of clairvoyance and other psychic abilities still continue till this very day. However, it is still less and less likely in the mainstream of studies and universities. While that may sound less convincing, there is still evidence to the contrary. There are lots and lots of scientist out there are going out on their own and are participating in research independently. Also they are working with organizations such as the institute of noetic sciences. The scientific evidence for clairvoyance and other common psychic abilities will continue to grow(). There is a form of ESP that most people experience in their life known as precognition. Precognition is having a visual experience of an event that later occurs in your life. Whether it is in a day dream, hallucinations l, flashing thoughts entering the mind, and a sense of knowing. A precognitive experience is sometimes confused with déjà vu, but they are not related at all. Déjà vu is experiencing a feeling that you have been through that even before, while precognition is visualizing an inexperienced event that later happens in real life. Precognition is one of the most frequently reported of all extra sensory perception experiences occurring most often in sixty percent to seventy percent in dreams. Precognitive knowledge may also be induced through trance, channeling, mediumship and divination(). The difference between precognition, premonition, and prophecy is premonition generally involves knowledge of a future event while premonition involves the sense of feeling that something is going to happen. All prophecy is precognition, but not all precognition is prophecy. The reliance upon precognition reaches back to ancient times, one profits and oracles were sought further access to the future. The Greeks considered the future immutable. Free will, however can change the perceived future, as seen in many incidents of individual saving their lives and escaping disasters By changing their previously formed plans based on precognitive information. Physical researchers estimate that 1/3 to ½ of all precognitive experiences may be useful to avoid disasters(). The parent ability to alter the perceived future makes precognition difficult to understand. If precognition is a glimpse of the true or real future, then the effects are witnessed before the causes. Such conditions do occur in quantum physics. The most popular theory holds that precognition is a glimpse of a possible future that is based upon present conditions and existing information, and which may be altered depending upon ask a free will. That there he implies the future can cause the past, a physical phenomenon called backward casualty or retro casualty. At that time, few people understood these factors. People back then did not think as well as people do now(). A different uncontroversial there he contends that the precognitive experience itself unleashes a powerful psychokinetic energy, which then brings the envisioned future to pass ().

The Gods Must Be Crazy

...The Gods Must be Crazy; Overview and Criticize In “The Gods Must be Crazy” they take the perspective of a simple Coke (glass) bottle form a tribe that has never seen such a thing. It shows a coke bottle thrown from a passing plane landing in a tribe. This coke bottle instantly seems to turn into a gift from the gods. Everyone in the tribe starts to fight over it and even use it as a weapon at one point. A tribe member is sent to throw it back to the gods. On his journey back he kills a goat, not knowing the meaning of “property”. He is put in jail where a man that used to be in his tribe saves him. He and his buddy then save Kate (the school teacher) from some guerillas and continue his journey to ”the end of the world”. He later gets to a cliff that may seem to him like the end of the world where he chucks the bottle and returns to his tribe. This movie not only makes the tribal people seem ridiculous unintelligent it makes them seem clueless in a sense. They find a bottle and al of a sudden start to go mad. I did enjoy how dim some scenes are in this but this as about all I enjoyed. The lack of realism that the movie shows is a part that makes it seem as if it could never happen. Overall Jamie Uys (director, producer and writer) do not do a good job making the plot and story realistic enough for any of this to be...

Crazy Little Thing Called Love

...Miranda, Charlotte fl P. A.203 Crazy Little Thing Called Love The first 15 minutes of the movie was the introduction of the characters and the situation the characters were in. The story is centered on an average, plain-looking and dark-skinned girl named Nam  who is secretly in love with an older Grade 10 guy named Shone . Shone, a new student, a rumored troublemaker and a photography enthusiast, easily becomes a popular student in school because of his good looks and soccer-playing skills. The plot was very simple but its simplicity caught my attention. Dark skinned, with glasses and braces = the complete cliché package of an ugly girl falls in love with unbelievably handsome and charming upperclassman. Of course he has to be perfect in every way possible, all sensitive and artistic (but athletic and hot at the same time) while she is the clumsy nerd in the shadows. The movie opens up with Nam's quirky group of friends and a teacher who is too straightforward for her own good. A few juvenile scenes of picking out crushes, passing notes during class and stolen glimpses and suddenly, the story becomes all too familiar. All those enchantment-believing, book-reading and daydreaming moments could might as well be anybody else's story and it was that gravitation to something so recognizable to all, I think, that made this movie so popular and endearing to people who have a heart and once used it for something no matter how one-sided and futile the experience was. But of course...

...Crazy By, Carly Growing up, me and my sister, Casey, we best friends with the girl who lived across the street from us, Bridgette Samuels. Bridgette spent more time at our house than her own. My mother used to always joke that Bridgette was her third daughter. She very could have been. She would go out to dinner with us every Friday night, join us on our family vacations, was pictured on every Christmas card, and had her own place at our kitchen table. When my mom went grocery shopping, she not only bought Casey’s and my favorite snacks, but Bridgette’s as well. She was like a sister to us. Bridgette was the first of us to take an interest in boys. You might say she was a little crazy when it came to them. Bridgette would chase around the boys in our neighborhood in her miniskirts and platform flip-flops, while Casey and I would stand by, completely disinterested. We still held the mentality that boys were stupid, and we ignored them while boy-crazed Bridgette tried to convince them to kiss her. But by the following summer, the summer between third and fourth grade, things had changed. My mother took up a job at the local hospital, and the three of us were enrolled in day camp. It was there we met our summer heartthrob and the focus of our desire – Danny Barkler. The three of us obsessed over Danny, daring each other to talk to him and drawing his name in hearts with chalk. We pined over ways to get Danny’s attention, despite none of our efforts ever succeeding. Even...

A Crazy Emily

...Crazy is defined as mentally unbalanced or insane. Emily is definitely crazy. Necrophilia or not, she is considered crazy either way. Although, the crazy focused here is the one that does not concern necrophilia. This focuses more on how she is trying to grasp some things she cannot have, and also having to kill just to have it. Some may say she is normal, but I say otherwise. The first time I realized she was crazy was at her father’s death. When her father passed away, she did not mourn for his deplorable death. Neither did she want to get rid of him, after the cruelty of depriving her of suitors. She kept clinging to his body, and she kept making herself believe he was alive. Whenever people wanted to give their condolences, her expression was always bland and she claimed that her father was not dead. Psychologically speaking, her reaction was blunt or it lacked in emotional response. Only after three days, when the people were about to resort to law and force, did she admit that he was dead. It was only then that she allowed the authorities to take his body. Another reason why I said she was crazy was because of the time she bought poison. She simply intimidated the druggist into giving her the poison she wanted. She did not say what the use was for, as long as it will “work”. This can actually tell you that she has a plan on killing someone. People with necrophilia do not kill to be with the dead, they just love being with the dead. Crazy people, though, can have the...

...52.72 | Inventory Turnover | 3.23 | 4.38 | 5.14 | 5.88 | Shown above are some of the key ratios for Crazy Eddie during the period 1984-1987. Some of the red flags these ratios reveal include the steady decline of inventory turnover rates from 1984-1987 which could indicate lost sales, excess inventory, or ineffective buying. Another red flag is the accounts receivable turnover figures. The drop from 116.78 in 1986 to 32.5 in 1987 is most likely a result of the poor credit policies Crazy Eddie had in place for its customers. 2.) Several audit procedures could have led to the detection of some of the accounting irregularities involved in the financial statements of Crazy Eddie. For (a) the falsification of inventory count sheets, the auditors could have visited more than one site of a Crazy Eddie store and performed full physical counts of inventory that didn’t allow Eddie Antar to stock up one location with inventory which he knew would be audited. Also, the auditors could have checked the inventory that was in place with the amounts on the inventory sheets and obtain proper documentation from vendors and confirming with them the proper inventory that was ordered. With regards to (b) the bogus debit memos for accounts payable, the auditors could have confirmed notes payables with banks and creditors that they have received payment or are expecting payment from Crazy Eddie, and trace those numbers with amounts in the general ledger for accounts payable. For (c) the recording...

...Hakeem Stewart Gary Peterson HU 242 Western Lit I October 9, 2013 RESPONSE ASSIGNMENT # _3_ Beowulf In the beginning of Beowulf, King Hrothgar of Denmark built a great mead hall where he and all his warriors could party, eat, and enjoy stories. Even though it was a place of joyful spirits there was a demon named Grendel who would always terrorize the people of Denmark and their mead hall. They would fight back in effort to make the demon leave them alone, but he was too powerful and would kill the warriors. This lasted for years and the Danes couldn’t find a solution to defeat Grendel. Eventually, in time, a Geatish warrior named Beowulf heard the troubles that King Hrothgar and the people of Denmark were going through because of the demon. Beowulf took on the task to defeat the demon. Prior to the battle Beowulf came unarmed and expects to fight Grendel with his bare hands. Grendel is terrified and eventually Beowulf rips the demons arm off and he flees back to the swamp where he soon dies. King Hrothgar and the Danes praise Beowulf for his victory over Grendel. Because of the death of Grendel, his mother, another swamp demon, went to seek revenge for her son’s death. This is where Beowulf and a few of the servants travel the swamp to defeat her. Just as he did before, Beowulf defeated Grendel’s mother, but during the battle he used a sword large enough for a giant instead of his bare hands. Beowulf began to make a buzz around the kingdom naming him the bravest warrior...

Crazy Computers

...This case is an example of revenue recognition for extended warranty contracts. The parties involved are Crazy Computers (CC), a third-party insurance company (TPI), and a wholly owned captive insurance company (CIC). The problem in this case is whether or not Crazy Computers should recognize commission revenue at the time of sale of the extended warranty contract if CIC reinsures the contracts with TPI. The FASB authoritative standard that applies to this case is ASC 605-45 (Revenue Recognition: Principal Agent Considerations). In this case the question is whether the revenue should be reported as gross or net of the sale. Gross would be the amount the customer paid. Net would be the amount the customer paid less the amount paid to a supplier (TPI). The net amount is considered a commission or fee to the entity acting as an agent (ASC 605-45-45-1). The next thing to look at in this scenario is who is the primary obligor in the agreement. That is, who has the legal obligation to assume risks and rewards from the extended warranty contract. If the entity (CC) is the primary obligor, they assume the obligation of the warranty contract and should record revenue gross of the amount billed to the customer (ASC 605-45-45-4). If the entity’s supplier (TPI) is the primary obligor, they assume the obligation of warranty fulfillment and the entity (CC) should record revenue net of the amount billed to customers less the amount paid to the supplier (TPI) (ASC 605-45-45-16). The amount...

Wal-Mart is one company that comes to mind when I think of a large corporation that organized. The management function within a corporation such as Wal-Mart is normally one that not only has responsibility, produces unlimited effort as well as carries the authority given. When the company is able to run successfully without issues arising, there is no doubt that the company is well organized. Somewhere along the line if there was a problem to arise they are well organized and prepared to handle any issues they are faced with. Wal-Mart is one very dominant business in today’s society.
