Junior Olympics Mood is calm/suspenseful I saw thousands of people when I did the last jump kick to my kata. But I jumped, kicked, and when I landed it felt like 5 tons just smashed on my ankle. I couldn't show the pain I was in. Now that match was over and I had lost. I had gotten 5th place and no metal but that was ok, because I still was fighting next. Now I was off the mats and I told my mom,
"Mom I think I twisted my ankle during kata. It feels like a whale crushed it with a bike. She glanced down worriedly and replied,
"Well you're fighting in 2 hours so lets go to the hotel and rest it up." On our way to the hotel I see a junior …show more content…
Zander wasn't happy so he kicked hard, but Sean blocked it with his hand and punched Zander right in the face and he got a full point and then it happened again He got another full point, then he won so Sean took 3rd place Zander got forth now its me vs Tyler for first.
"Begin," the referee yelled on final time. The match has begun and my ankle was better, but still hurt a little. I throw punches and when I kicked Cindy told me "to stick to the plan."so I did and I scored, but so did he then again. with 15 seconds on the clock the score was 2-1an a half and I was losing. Cindy yelled,"SPENCER 15 SECONDS!!" I didn't want to lose so I throw a kick we it hit his elbow I felt it pop and a tear came out of my eye. Now I was in pain but I had to keep going. So I through many punches, but Cindy yelled "Spencer calm down" so I did. But I still keep going after him, then he hassled backwards and with 5 seconds left I through that on last fiery punch and hit him right in the stomach 3 and he trips 2 and falls to his back, then the match was over I was so relieved , But then I realized... I hadn't gotten the point. I was a little upset then, but it was ok because I had made it so far and 2nd is great too. I limped off the blood red mat, pleased but in pain because my ankle still hurt. But I limped over to Tyler and told him good job And the tournament was

E-Portfolio

...To the reader, I bet you are wondering what this is all about, or perhaps who I even am. Let us start with a greeting, shall we? Hi, I’m Celina Gonzales, a college freshman taking up BS Legal Management. This E-portfolio encapsulates my entire writing journey of sorts in my ENGLCOM (Basic Communication and Study Skills) course throughout the second term of my first year in university. In here, you will be able to read about various ideas—from the meaning of the word “infinite” beyond the concept taught to us in our Math classes, to the causes of the Philippines’ lagged progress (no, it is not solely due to corruption), and, well, Korean Pop. With all these topics mentioned, I hope you appreciate how much I have grown in terms of flexibility, as I was never comfortable with writing beyond my interests. The entire journey was a roller coaster, thanks to the great deal of papers that came with strict deadlines, high standards, along with numerous revisions inked in either pink, green, red, or blue. However, I believe that all those days figuring out how exactly my professors want me to revise parts of my papers and whatnot are worth it—The innumerable scratch papers that I was armed with in the beginning of the term are gone. I can now write an article of great quality without having to frantically jot down my ideas on a separate sheet of paper. I believe that this growth of mine is impossible without my professors. Therefore, I would like to extend my gratitude to them: To...

Research on Challenges Facing Sport in the Country Still Doing Litereature Review.

...Richard Attias Become a fan Email The Development Factor: The Challenge of Sport in the 21st Century Posted: 10/21/2014 8:39 am EDT Updated: 10/29/2014 9:59 Sport occupies a peculiar place in world dynamics in that it surpasses the limitations of geographical boundaries and social classes. Still, a gap remains between developed and developing nations when it comes to sport. In the industrialized world, sport as an economic sector represents approximately 2% of GDP. For developing economies, though, the challenge remains making sport a factor of economic development, and a driver for social change, so it benefits all citizens in the long term. UNESCO's 1978 International Charter of Physical Education and Sport classified sport as "a fundamental right for all." But the low place sport occupies in the developing world's priorities shows that its importance as an educational and social tool is not yet universal. Everyone agrees that sport contributes to economic development by creating jobs and stimulating business activity. The organization of a major sporting event, for example, is a great opportunity for the local economy. The thousands of people who attend will spend money on food, lodging, transportation and other, related tourist activities. However, in recent years, we see these economic benefits are obvious only the short term. If we take the example of South Africa in 2010, the positive impact of the World Cup was, in terms of job creation and reduced crime...

In the course of this internship, I got to learn how advertising is not all about producing billboards and TVCs, but how it has integrated itself into a vast network and how it intends to get into a consumer’s lifestyle rather than bombard them with information. Which is why, the topic I have decided to work on is the Evolution of Advertising and how Ogilvy Bangladesh has adapted to the changes and how those changes reflect on their campaign effectiveness. I have also gotten the chance to experience what life is like in the corporate world and all in all, it was a fantastic learning experience.
