Metabical is one of CSP’s new prescription drugs, Metabical proved to be safe and effective in stimulating weight loss for moderately overweight individuals. Another weight loss drugs that was approved by the FDA is Alli, however Alli has some negative side effect including gastrointestinal conditions such as loos stools, increased defecation, incontinence, abdominal pain, and liver damage. Metabolic’s primary target is people who are17-70 years old, education level those no less than high school with income level around $25,000-$80,000+. People who want to look like a movie star, people who want to be healthier, people to choose drugs to lose their weight.

Pricing is another important factor in determining the success of Metabical. In order to determine the price for Metabical, first we compare with its closest competitor which is Alli’s pricing model. We have to also come up with several other assumptions such as by assuming that consumers will ready to pay more for a prescription drug and generally people trust prescribed drug rather than the non-prescribed drugs. So, I believe to set a higher price for Metabical would not be a problem and would be acceptable by the consumers. Therefore, I would set $3 or more per pill for Metabical compare to $2.4 per pill for Alli. Remember, being known as the only prescription drug with FDA approval and clinical results to back weight-loss claims will definitely attract a lot more customers and steady demand in the future.
