The Civil right movement, which is also known as the African- American civil rights movement, all started around 1865 to 1995. During this period African-Americans wanted to be treated equally like any other white- Americans, as such major campaigns, and series of events were led by different organizations and leaders towards obtaining equal right, as stimulated in the 14th Amendments in the constitution of the United States.
However, they are many factors that encouraged the rise of civil right movements, which are; the Supreme Court decisions, Legislature, leaders, other events, and different organizations. Moreover, I think the major three components that encouraged and led to the success of civil right movements in the 20th century are; the supreme court decisions, different events that happened, and the United States legislation led to the successful rise of the civil right movements around the 20th century.

Looking at how the Supreme Court helped to influence the rise of civil right movement could be traced from the 1954 Supreme Court ruled in the case of Oliver Brown and board of education of Topeka, when his son was denied admission in Topeka’s white school. However, this case was filed to the Supreme Court under the leadership of Chief Justice Earl Warren, which he ruled that racial segregation in schools was not constitutional, and it was against the equal protection clause.
