Personal Hygiene Awareness

Personal hygiene may be described as the principle of maintaining cleanliness and grooming of the external body. People have been aware of the importance of hygiene for thousands of years. Failure to keep up a standard of hygiene can have many implications. Not only is there an increased risk of getting an infection or illness, but there are many social and psychological aspects that can be affected.

Every one of us must have a proper hygiene. When I was a young boy I always play outside the house, and when I go home, I am so dirty. My mother always asked why I am like that. As i grow older they taught me how to clean myself and how to have a proper hygiene. From then I become a well-groomed child.

Help with washing and bathing

For most people, washing is a very private activity. If you are helping someone else wash or bathe, be sensitive and try to maintain their dignity. You may feel awkward and embarrassed, especially at first.

To make bathing and washing as pleasant and comfortable as possible, you might consider: * using pleasant-smelling shampoo, bubble bath or soap * playing music the person you care for likes and is familiar with * if the person you're washing is confused, explaining what's happening as you go along * being sensitive to their mood

Brushing your teeth

Proper brushing of teeth requires at least 2 minutes. To properly brush your teeth, use short, gentle strokes, paying extra attention to the gumline, hard-to-reach back teeth and areas around fillings, crowns or other restoration. Concentrate on thoroughly cleaning each section as follows:

* Clean the outer surfaces of your upper teeth, then your lower teeth * Clean the inner surfaces of your upper teeth, then your lower teeth * Clean the chewing surfaces * For fresher breath,

...Cwts A whole new experience… Things have been taught and others have remained hidden. For almost 4 months of spending Sundays inside Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, first semester of CWTS has almost come to its end. After weeks of sharing laughter, sarcasm and experience with circle 4, I now see myself in a state where in I am already searching and questioning myself of what have I learned? Before, I find CWTS dull and boring. Students will just be street sweepers and feeding program organizers. I only wanted to enrol in this course because it was easier than ROTC. Honestly, the impression did not fade quickly. On the first few weeks of our meetings, I haven’t really seen anything that will convince me to attend the classes every week. I was just attending for high grades. However, as the time passed by, I realized that I am starting to like CWTS. It was actually because it made me closer to my block mates. It also led me to a realization that it will never be boring, because it is actually all about me. CWTS is about knowing who you really are. It is about trying to be better than just being good enough. It is learning how to live life the right way. In our lessons, we were always talking about what is right. To tell you the truth, CWTS has been an instrument that enlightened my mind and heart to be on the right path. Activities like introduction and group sharing showed me that I am much likely different with other people, but then again, I need them in order to survive...

...University of the Philippines Diliman Magsaysay Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City, 1101 Philippines jcvalmeda@yahoo.com Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) is one of the three program components of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) established under Republic Act 9163. CWTS covers programs or activities that will add improvement to the common wellbeing for members of the community or its facilities. It aims to instill among the students: citizenship, volunteerism, and career exploration and development. All students of the University of the Philippines need to complete two semesters of CWTS as a requirement for graduation if the student selected this as his or her choice of NSTP component. The teacher has to inculcate to the students that, being scholars of the country, they have to volunteer their service not only to the people but also to the country. This is to show appreciation for the people’s support for their quality tertiary education. Thus, there is integration of civic and social values in the course. What makes teaching CWTS challenging and exciting is that the teacher incorporates statistics in the volunteer work that the students will do. Hence, the teacher prepares the students to do statistical work needed by the public and makes them aware of the different paths they can take in their respective careers. CWTS in the School of Statistics Each college in the University of the Philippines has a free hand in the implementation of a selected program component...

Nstp-Cwts Reaction Paper

...ZEID BSA 1-A NSTP: CWTS REACTION PAPER The National Service Training Program, also referred to by the acronym NSTP, is a civic administration and defense preparedness program for Filipino tertiary education students. It is instituted by the Government of the Philippines on January 23, 2002 by virtue of Republic Act 9163, otherwise known as the "National Service Training Program (NSTP) Act of 2001". And one of the coverage of the program is the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS). This program component is designed to provide students with activities contributory to the general welfare and betterment of life of the members of the community especially those developed to improve social welfare services. As I selected CWTS for the first and second semester, I learned a lot from this course. The activities and seminars really change my point of view. At first, I thought CWTS is only about voluntary works, like cleaning in the streets but that is not at all. The class sessions and seminars taught me how practical experiences and theoretical knowledge would come into handy in the real life. But it doesn’t stop there, because there is this program that was currently introduced to us which were tutorials on some things that serve us our practice in preparation for the future use. With the things mentioned even by slowly, I improved myself physically, mentally, spiritually and socially. This program is really helpful to the students and youth. It does not...

...Looking at the April 24, 2017 slaughter report for hogs the live weight ranged from $40.84 - $43.45/cwt while the Primal Butt is at $86.26/cwt. That is telling me that the live weight market price was around the same live weight range given already, because a majority of the Primal Butt prices were in the $85 - $86/cwt range. The prices have had to vary some because of supply and demand. Steers 80% Choice moved around more than the hogs because there are not very many cattle on the market right now, such as cull cows and because most herds calve in the...

...CHAPTER 14 THE LOGISTICS PLANNING PROCESS 3 The MILES module within the LOGWARE software is used to solve this problem. It computes distance based on the great circle distance formula using longitude and latitude. (a) The estimated road distance is 1,380 miles. (b) The estimated road distance is 830 miles. (c) Since both latitudes are in the same hemisphere, no adjustments need to be made. The estimated distance is 244 miles, or 244×1.61 = 393 km. (d) In this case, one point is east and the other west of the Greenwich line. Therefore, we need to set a sign convention. Let's set west longitudes as + and east longitudes as −. Thus, 2.20o E longitude is entered into MILES as −2.20 o. The estimated distance is 250 miles, or 250×1.61 = 402.5 km. 4 Suppose that a certain linear grid coordinate system has been overlaid on a map of the United States. The grid numbers are calibrated in miles, and there is a road circuity factor of 1.21. Find the expected road distances between the following pairs of points: Equation 14-1 in the text is used to approximate distances from linear coordinates. Hanson Manufacturing Company

...Hanson Manufacturing Company In February 1993 Herbert Wessling was appointed general manager by Paul Hanson, president of Hanson Manufacturing Company. Wessling, age 56, had wide executive experience in manufacturing products similar to those of the Hanson Company. The appointment of Wessling results from management problems arising from the death of Richard Hanson, founder and, until his death in early 1992, president of the company. Paul Hanson had only four years’ experience with the company, and in early 1993 was 34 years old. His father had hoped to train Paul over a 10-year period, but the father’s untimely death had cut short this seasoning period. The younger Hanson became president after his father’s death, and had exercised full control until he hired Mr. Wessling. Paul Hanson knew that he had made several poor decisions during 1992 and that the morale of the organization had suffered, apparently through lack of confidence in him. When he received the 1992 income statement (Exhibit 1), the loss of almost $200,000 during a relatively good year for the industry convinced him that he needed help. He attracted Mr. Wessling from a competitor by offering a stock option incentive in addition to salary, knowing that Wessling wanted to acquire financial security for his retirement. The two men came to a clear understanding that Wessling, as general manager, had full authority to execute any changes he desired. In addition, Wessling would explain the reasons for...
