Data Table Analysis Brief

Kudler Fine Foods has data that must be evaluated and automated into the data systems. Before the data can be automated, it must be evaluated for completeness. One must evaluate two different items: The Access data tables and The Inventory Database. To better assist Kudler Fine Foods, one must evaluate the design elements of the Access data tables from an accounting perspective and recommend improvements to the existing tables. An entity relationship diagram and pivot table will assist with understanding the data. One can then provide an explanation of how the information in the pivot table may improve decision making.
Design Elements From an accounting perspective, the design elements of the data tables lack the information needed for processing transactions on a daily basis. The data in the table provide information on the customers, inventories, items, orders, order lines, stores, suppliers, tax tables, and tenders. The tables do not provide information on the transactions to journalize and add to the general ledger. The tables lack information for the financial reports, except for a few of the tables. The inventory table will provide the basic information for the quantity on hand for cost of goods calculations with unit cost for the income statement. The tender table will provide basic information on whether the payment is cash, credit sale, or on account for the balance sheet. Although the tables are well organized, there is still room for improvement from an accounting standpoint.

Recommended Improvements Importing data into Access will help to transform the data into a more useable form. Access will enable meaningful data analysis and automatic data validation. Kudler can improve the data tables by adding more accounting…...

...Data Management and Analysis Analysis the report, it is clear seen that the Data management and analysis methods used is a quantitative comparative descriptive design. Ford, B. (2010) took very careful steps to maintain the rigor and control of their data collection. The author used a statistic software design. She developed her idea into two representative graphs in which she compared call light usage before initiation of hourly rounding, and call light usage after the initiation of hourly rounding. With is in compliance with the objective described by the hypotheses developed in this study. Hourly rounding improves patient satisfactory score. Narrative descriptive also uses to confirm their finding. For a pilot study, one thinks that the sample size was adequate. ...Case Analysis 5 Analysis: Summary of Chapters California Intercontinental University Introduction This case analysis explores chapters thirteen and fourteen for the particular week. Case analysis introduces the business research and scientific investigation chapters. This paper meets the Course Objectives/Learning Outcomes in the syllabus. Qualitative Data Analysis Qualitative Data Analysis (QDA) is the range of processes and procedures whereby we move from the qualitative data that have been collected into some form of explanation, understanding or interpretation of the people and situations we are investigating. QDA is usually based on an interpretative philosophy. The idea is to examine the meaningful and symbolic content of qualitative data. For example, by analyzing interview data the researcher may be attempting to identify any or all of: • Someone's interpretation of the world, • Why they have that point of view, • How they came to that view, • What they have been doing, • How they conveyed their view of their situation, • How they identify or classify themselves and others in what they say, The process of QDA usually involves two things, writing and the identification of themes. Writing of some kind is found in almost all forms of QDA. In contrast, some approaches, such as discourse analysis or conversation analysis may not require the identification of themes.......

... Enerdecido, Tania Mae R. Ronario, Ma. Francesca S. Data Analysis Qualitative Data Analysis “Analysis is a breaking up, separating, or disassembling of research materials into pieces, parts, elements, or units. With facts broken down into manageable pieces, the researcher sorts and sifts them, searching for types, classes, sequences, processes, patterns or wholes. The aim of this process is to assemble or reconstruct the data in a meaningful or comprehensible fashion” (Jorgensen, 1989: 107). The researchers will analyze the data by means of using Powell and Renner’s analysis process. The analysis process is made up of getting to know the data, focusing the analysis, categorizing information, identifying patterns and connections within and between categories, and interpretation (Powell and Renner, 2003). This process will be used in analyzing all of the transcripts of parents of students from Mater Dei Academy. The identified consistencies and differences from responses of the interviewees (Powell and Renner, 2003) will be open-coded (Merriam, 2009). Identified consistencies and differences from the parents’ statements will be generalized. The researchers will then come up with patterns or themes that could be formed through the coded answers of parents (Merriam, 2009). Furthermore, these will all be interpreted. Specifically, the researchers followed the subsequent steps in doing their qualitative data analysis of parents’ of students from Mater Dei Academy......

...EDUTL 5901 | Balanced Scorecard: an Empirical Study of Small and Medium Size Enterprises | Data Analysis | Guangting Zheng Guangting Zheng Introduction This study analyzes Balanced Scorecard (BSC) knowledge among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Portuguese industry. It basically resolves three problems: Do Portuguese industrial SMEs use the BSC? Are those in charge of management accounting aware of the Balanced Scorecard? Is there any relation between spreading knowledge about the Balanced Scorecard and specific contingency variables? Traditionally managers evaluate performance with exclusively financial measures. The first performance evaluation models were based solely on financial measures (BANKER; MASHRUWALA, 2007; CORONA, 2009; LUFT, 2009; MARTIN; PETTY, 2000). However, over-emphasis on this assessment method may drive managers to try to maximize short-term financial results, thus harming the sustainable development of the company. According to Dearman and Shields (2001), even when using other methods theoretically considered as inadequate, correct management decisions can be made as long as managers are aware of the more adequate methods. Then in 1990, a new model called Balanced Scorecard was proposed. Balanced scorecard (BSC) is a strategy performance management tool, which can be used by managers to keep track of the execution of activities in the company. Now BSC is used not only as performance evaluation, but also as a strategic management......

...Writing Assignment #3 (Data Analysis/Social media) One widely recognized issue that we face these days is the distraction social networking can be when it comes to education. I mean, if biology class is a total drag you are going to want to find something to entertain yourself with for the time being, right? While I agree that a boring class is not the best thing in the world, the information being taught is much more important than what’s being posted on your Instagram or Twitter feed. According to a post on NBC News’ website regarding research on the connection between the average American teen’s attention span with common distractions such as cell phones, text messaging and social networks, and how it affects grades, approximately 47 percent of American high school or college students have either failed one or more classes due to distractions, furthering my point that too much online social activity can be a harmful distraction. Social network overuse can not only affect your academic life, but also your personal life as well. From my own experience, just about anyone getting too comfortable on social networks can definitely serve as a threat to his or her personal well-being. I’ve witnessed many arguments and disagreements on social media leading to physical altercations between classmates. With so many different mindsets and opinions floating around, it is almost impossible to post something without at least one person disagreeing or feeling personally offended...
