a. Automatic information processing was introduced by James Power whose company later became known as IBM
b. The emergence of reusable data opened up the horizons for database management systems.
c. Data provides a competitive advantage for businesses of all shapes and sizes.

a. Backup and recovery technology allows database managers to sleep in peace knowing their data is safe.

c. Data privacy is very important. Hospital employees, for example, are only allowed access to certain parts of the EMR system which holds patient data.
