Europe was a nation that turned from nothing into something. It is one of the biggest Imperialist nations that the world has ever seen. Europe began to colonize everywhere and they sought an opportunity. In addition, Asia and Africa were the two biggest continents that the Europeans had an effect on. Due to Europe being an under power, Asia and Africa were dominantly powerful in terms of the economy and political strength. Later on, Europeans were beginning to ask for help from these two countries and started to be involved with each nation and its daily activities. It eventually turned out to diminish both nations and Europe became a powerful nation because of Imperialism. Colonization is the act of which an ongoing process of control by which a central system of power dominates the surrounding land and its components (people, animals etc.). According to Document 1, a map is shown to display the territories controlled by Europeans by different treaties. The map is primarily controlled and colonized by the Europeans which shows the power they posses as an Imperialist nation. On the other hand, the political cartoon of China shows no difference when it came to colonization. All of this is occurring because Europe wants to prove what force they can be and want everyone to fear them. The biggest noticeable difference between Asia and Africa at the time was enslavement of the African continent. According to Document 9, a journey of a man tells the experience he suffered from the Europeans of what slavery was like to him. The man in the document talked about experiences that later defined a cruel act against human beings. However, the Chinese never suffered this kind of punishment, but they were basically pushed around and were being controlled. Both China and Africa suffered an extreme loss in their political, economic, and social strengths to a point that the Europeans have just dominated. An additional document would have been helpful, to show more similarities and differences that the Chinese and Africans faced in enslavement and the free trade
