Decision-Making Process Paper
Making decisions it part of our life, in fact I have to make a decision every day at school, work and home. Making the decision of going back to school was an important event in my life. I knew that retaking my education would change my routine and most important it will take some of my family time. Making the decision was simple because I know what I want to accomplish, but the process was more than just say I will do it. It did take me several steps to take the final decision that led me to University of phoenix.
The first step was the reason of going back to school. I want to get a degree; I know that a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management will open opportunities with my current employer. Second I needed my family approval. I know that without the support of my family it is almost impossible to accomplish my goal. Third step was look for the right school. It is very important that the school that I am planning to attend it will fit my needs, especially since my schedule is very tight. Once I did talk to my advisor at the University of Phoenix; I decided to stay at University of Phoenix because it’s accelerate program, the time and hours are very convenient for me. Lastly my finances play a big role, I knew that UOP tuition was pricy and my budget are very tight, so I did take advantage of my education benefits from the Department of Veterans Affair. My UOP advisor walked me through the process and help me with all the paperwork. Now I am a proud UOP student looking to get a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management.
While reading chapter 3 on “Management” by Thomas S. Bateman, I learned about the stages of decision making as a manager and I noticed in a way that I did follow the some of the steps pointed on

...More Praise for the Second Edition of Beyond Change Management “Once again, Dean and Linda have nailed it! Beyond Change Management is an extraordinary book examining the shifts in change management that have occurred over the years. This book offers real, practical solutions for change practitioners to become extraordinary conscious change leaders.” —Darlene Meister, director, Unified Change Management, United States House of Representatives “Entering the offices recently of a highly respected Fortune 500 company, I was stunned by the enormity of change they were facing and at the same time how ill-equipped they were to deal with the challenges that lay ahead of them. They had little capacity to lead and manage the change required. And, of course, consulting firms were swarming all over them. Th ey needed this book by the Andersons to help them. In fact, Chapter Five alone on building organizational capability is worth the price of the book.” —W. Warner Burke, Ph.D., Edward Lee Thorndike Professor of Psychology and Education; chair, Department of Organization and Leadership; program coordinator, Graduate Programs in Social-Organizational Psychology, Teachers College, Columbia University “Beyond Change Management is a must-read for today’s C-Suite executives and those who lead organizational change.
