The problem I foreseen was helping rebuild Kava to the once beautiful island it was. Wal-Mart’s goal was to help the people of Kava live better lives and save money. Wal-Mart also would help donate money and food to help rebuild the economy for the People of Kava. Wal-Mart’s presence in Kava would go through a series of decisions in order to make our presence successful. Decision-making is when we take our goals, find ways to implement them, and also make our goals achievable. ...Decision in Paradise Part II As previously discussed in the proposal “Decision in Paradise Part I” Wal-Mart is looking to expand an organizational presence onto the island of Kava. There were some issues that came up in the initial proposal I submitted which included technology, environment, construction of the building, labor issue, and ethical issues. I want to focus on the largest of the issues that will affect the implementation of this project in the early stages. Building in a foreign country can be taxing and building on an island will make some materials hard to find locally. To identify the problem we first needed to see what would be available to our contractors for use from the local area. The project team mentioned in the first paper will be in charge of discovering what is available and what will need to be imported to Kava. We are considered a “big box” store that has multiple meanings but the term does not mean our construction is simple.
