Inside of this essay I will be discussing organizational ethics within the workplace could all be properly address by using ethical principles. I will also be covering about what external pressures on the outside of the workplace could affect organizational ethics that are in place, Weather or not such external issues would carry any weight inside of the organization and impact personal decisions. And lastly what is the relationship between ethics and the legal system.
The organization that I choose to discuss will be on my experience in working in the United States Navy. During my tenure with the military there were very few external pressures that were present at that time. The primary pressure was that of good sailors were being forced out of their military contacts to overall save our government money. This stemmed from pressures from the senate to cut personnel that were not making advancements in rank and lowering manning capabilities around the fleet.
And inside of the military it is our duty to always be ready to get deployed at any given time but due to the lack of manning it forced smaller ships to miss deadlines, and not be as effective cause lack of personnel to run certain equipment that are vital for maritime operations. Another external pressure was that of the high suicide rate due to sailors not having the proper channels to cope with massive amounts of stress.
I feel that these issues are very relevant to the organization due to the fact they are losing droves of good sailors from self-inflicting deaths from not getting the proper care, and more sailors from being forced out of something they have been a part of for many years. And for other personnel that are looking at this they are beginning to look at ways to get out of the military to avoid being forced out by other terms.

Constitutional laws outline what governments can and cannot do.” Roles of law are classified in three areas, civil and criminal laws, substantive and procedural laws, and public and private laws. Civil laws are designed to compensate both society and business for losses or damages as a result of another’s conduct (Melvin, 2011). ...Role & Functions of Law By: David Johnson Class: LAW/421 Due Date: 06 April 2015 Instructor: Alan Williams Laws are the rules of actions prescribed by controlling authority and involving legal force. Laws create duties and obligations that reflect given views of a given society. In business and society, the law serves many roles and functions to uphold its main purpose of promoting fairness and equality. It is said that, the roles of law in business and society can be classified into three different categories. Those categories are civil and criminal law, substantive and procedural law, and public and private laws. All of these categories of law help define not only what is right but also what is wrong. Criminal law is a protection of society and where crimes committed by the public are prosecuted by governing bodies. Substantive law provides an individual with rights and creates certain duties while procedural laws provide a structure and set rules for pursuing substantive rights. If an individual intentionally harmed another citizen, substantive law would state how this is a crime. Civil law is used in business and society to compensate individuals or businesses for losses as a result of another’s misconduct. It determines the amount of damages the victim has suffered and is settled with compensation. An example of civil law would be if a person was suing their business partner for not living up to their business contract. If the partner suddenly became enraged and...
