The exhibit that I chose was in my home town of Delphos, OH. The Delphos Area Art Gallery (DAAG) had a photography exhibit. Most of the art work was anonymous which I found interesting to no be able to put a face or name to the work of art. Specific piece of work that I enjoyed was a photo that I did not understand at first. It was in black in white and rather small. I passed by it quickly not to take a second glance. I came back to it towards the end of the show to study the picture more closely. The title of the picture was Chaos and this picture was awesome. The picture was of a living room with children, toys, laundry, a husband reading the newspaper with a child climbing on him, and many other messes. The story with this picture is that it was a random shot that a mother took because she wanted to show how crazy her life looked in a picture. It was not a staged picture but it looked like it because it looked so chaotic. The picture Chaos was outstanding because it made me realize that our everyday boring lives are pieces of art. We may not realize it in the moment but if we capture a moment of our everyday lives it really is a piece of beautiful and unique art. The was a picture called …show more content…
My mind cannot even comprehend the amount of beauty and art God has created. It is everything around us and is in everything. So when I went to this art gallery this quarter (DAAG) I was able to slow down and appreciate each piece of work in that gallery. I slowed myself down a looked at the beauty in each image even if I did not understand it. Of course I passed by a couple of photos but quickly came back to understand the piece and was able to find each one unique and beautiful. The people that have been in my life that helped me understand what I see in art exhibits were a blessing. Now I can truly appreciate art from the help of influential people in my
