Demonstrative Communication Paper
Nonverbal communication is a very important feature of the communication process between all parties partaking in the conversation. This is because not all conversations or communications will be verbal and take place between person to person, handicapped person to person, and person to animal. All of these will use nonverbal language to solidify the communication that is taking place and help set up the points trying to be made. Nonverbal communication is also an art that has to be practiced every day to become good at it and to be able to use it effectively.
People sometimes forget about this feature and it helps cause the curiosity towards the questions that will lead to the start of the argument process. “When your nonverbal signals match up with the words you’re saying, they increase trust, clarity, and rapport. When they don’t they generate tension, mistrust, and confusion.” (Authors: Jeanne Segal, 2013) There are three major groups to this concept of nonverbal communication and they are Facial expressions, Body laugange, and Sounds of the communication.
Facial Expressions are one of the key components to this concept, because it is what we see when we are communicating back and forth. The major part is eye contact. When a sender is trying to communicate with a reciever they must use eye contact to let them know they are talking to them and want them to listen, and the recievers must repay that eye contact back to the sender to ensure the sender feels like the message is being received. Sometimes when people are talking they tend to look away and not at the other person and this will cause a uneasy feeling or a lack of confidence that the message is true or not. Another big one with the eyes is when a person rolls them after being told something.

This type of communication can take on many forms, including nonverbal and unwritten communication.
