What type of popcorn will you try?
Introduction

Materials and Method The three 250mL beakers were weighed to measure the mass of each. Vegetable oil was added to coat the bottom of each beaker, one is labeled Orville, the second white and the third yellow for each kind of popcorn used. The amount of oil and each beaker were weighed. Twenty kernels were added to each beaker and each weighed on the scale. Each beaker was covered with aluminum foil, and a few holes were punched in the top to ventilate the popcorn. The beakers were heated on a hot plate until all the kernels were popped. The aluminum foil was removed and the beakers cooled for about 5 minutes. The mass of each beaker with popped kernels were measured on a scale. The popcorn was removed from each beaker and disposed of and the glass wear was cleaned with soap and water.

Results Throughout the experiment, measurements were calculated by grams to get the mass of that object.

In this experiment, the overall change was the mass of the kernels were decreased after they were heated and popped. The popcorn smelt horrid because it was burnt when it was being heated on the hot plate.
Discussion
The lost mass in the kernels happened because the water in the kernels expanded when they were heated and it was turned into a gas. The gas in the kernel needed more space so it popped the kernel and turned it into a piece of popcorn.

...Determining Density Purpose: To determine density using measurements of mass and volume. Hypothesis: I think that from least dense to most dense it will be water, syrup, ketchup and then sand. The reason I think this is because in all of our viscosity experiments water was the least viscous and when we did the ketchup experiments it was thick, but not thick as molasses.
