Derek Jeter " I love it when people doubt me. It makes me work harder to prove them wrong." - Derek Jeter. This is why Derek Jeter is loved by many. In sports there are hero's. In football many look at Brett Favre. Some believe Lebron James is the best athlete ever. I think baseball players are the most fun to talk about. I am going to tell everyone about Derek Jeter's achievements, personal life, early childhood, endorsements, and his professional baseball career. I am going to start off talking about Jeter's achievements. Derek Jeter was awarded many trophies over his 20 seasons in the majors. Jeter won one of the best trophies in baseball, the World Series trophy. Derek won that trophy 5 times and even own World Series MVP in 2000. Derek …show more content…
Derek Jeter is a very wealthy man. He had a 1 million Dollar penthouse when he was a part of the New York Yankees. During that time he also had two other houses. One of his houses was in his home state of New Jersey. Jeter also had another house in Davis Island near Tampa Bay, Florida. During this time Jeter was starting a foundation in the off-season he started the "Turn 2 Foundation" this is the drug and alcohol rehab for teens. Derek has dated many famous people. He is finally settling down with his soon-to-be wife Hannah Davis. She is a Sports Illustrated cover model that is what it is like to be in the life of Derek …show more content…
Jeter is sponsored by many people and companies. " Jeter won't be done when he retires." (Isidore 2013) This shows that the endorsements will not be done when Jeter retired. Jeter is sponsored by many companies those are Nike, Gatorade, ford, Visa Discover card, Gillette, and fleet bank. Derek was the second highest endorse baseball player along Ichiro Suzuki being first but each he has Japan endorsements.
