Besides this, Woolf also seems to use a fair amount of alliteration and imagery in all her writing. “Blue” seems to be a description of many different types of blue such as “[strokes] of blue line the black tarpaulin of his hide” and “[a] wave rolls beneath the blue bells.” These two examples are only two of the many different blues she describes in this poem.
