One of the most interesting and amazing product which is one of the most popular product currently in the market is the IPad from Apple Inc. IPad is a tablet computer designed by Apple inc, which runs Apple’s IOS operating system. Its affordability, ease of use, long battery life, scalability, and sheer beauty are truly revolutionary. An iPad can shoot video, take photos, play music, and perform online functions such as web-browsing and emailing, playing games, reference, GPS navigation, social networking, etc. The CEO of Apple Inc recently stated that “55 million iPads shipped is something no one would have guessed, including us. It took us 22 years to sell 55 million Macs. It took 5 years to sell 55 million iPods. It took three years for us to ship that many iPhones. The trajectory is off the charts”. I think iPad is so popular because for a lot of people it is a legitimate replacement for 90% of their computer needs. Most people do not need something more than to surf the web, check e-mail and watch videos/play games. The iPad allows people to do all of those things in a much more comfortable setting than you would get with a pc or even a laptop or notebook.
The initial idea about the iPad is quite strange; it started when the co founder of Apple Steve Jobs went for a dinner with the Microsoft’s Bill Gates. Bill Gates continuously boasted to Jobs over dinner that they had a revolutionary tablet in production which made Jobs so sick of it that when he went home and said “let's show him what a tablet can really be”. Apple had begun developing the iPad before the iPhone, but had temporarily shelved the effort upon realizing that its ideas would work just as well in a mobile phone because smart phones were becoming very popular in 2007. In 2010 Apple finally announced the release of the IPad and was made available in the market.
Previously Apple had a yearly cycle

Not too long ago you could only have a wired network connection. If you wanted to make that existing connection portable you simply just connected a longer cable to your computer and dragged it around the office. This contributed to a mess of unsightly cables and multiple connections around an office space that could be connected and reconnected as office layouts changed over time. Even just a few years ago a wireless network was not even worth the effort because of the slow connections and download speeds. Now every coffee shop offers wireless internet with speeds faster than the wired networks of 10 years ago. The company at discussion, You’re Free Inc. is a small law firm that has just experienced some growth and doubled its employee roster as well as double its office space from one floor to two. It is currently using a very slow 10Mbps network to access applications on its server and do video conferencing. As you can imagine there is a big slow down in the network and high latency is experienced during a video conference and during...

Network Design Project

...Network Design Project Rosemarie Moore Professor Melanie Howard Introduction to Networking CIS175 June 1, 2010 Network Design Consultation Initially, I was asked to set up a network design within the client’s budget. After sitting down with the client to discuss the needs of his/her business I asked, “What specifications did he or she have if any”? I was told that they wanted two (2) workstations set-up, quality printer, internet access, multiple email addresses. Basic low security environment and their initial investment was $5,000 dollars or less and wanted their cost be less than $200.00 dollars a month. Research I began my research by checking out the top internet carriers that serviced the area. I found two internet carriers in the area. There was Verizon who has DSL or FIOS and Comcast that handled Cable internet services. I chose Comcast Business Class for the internet provider. I chose to use is a Linksys ultra range wireless router. The printer, I chose is a HP Officejet 6500 with wireless capabilities and billing software I chose is Quickbook Pro 2010 (http://quickbooks.intuit.com/pro/features/ ). I chose the star topology because the client is only going to have 2 workstations. Many home networks use the star topology. A star network features a central connection point called a "hub" that may be a hub, switch or router. Devices typically connect to the hub with Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) Ethernet. Compared...

Project Design for Quality

...09:46PM 386608752 Assignment 4 GRADEMARK REPORT FINAL GRADE GENERAL COMMENTS 30 PAGE 1 PAGE 2 PAGE 3 PAGE 4 Instructor This is a comprehensive plan that carefully identifies what quality means and how it will be managed. The linkage between the quality definition, the management strategy and the project is a strong point. Although quality strategy is clearly identifed, it is not well argued using the literature. Arguments do not draw from repected quality writers and issues are not based on documented problems. To make your plan stand up to criticism and to justify resources needed for implementation, your ideas need to be backed up. One of the best ways to do this is by using the literature show why procurement is important; show why document control is important - there is lots of good literature on this. Good ideas are not enough - you need to back them up. Dispite the weakness in rationale, I felt the report was of an excellent standard. The effort put into the quality definitiion really paid off. Well done. Submitted 1 day late. I've deducted 2 marks for being late. In a project situation missing a deadline without notice can be catastrophic - especially when you are tendering. ...Integrative Network Design Project Kudler Fine Foods is one of the biggest and fastest growing food companies in the Unites States. Because of this fast expansion there are expected and often increased goals that must be done in order to keep all parts of the company working as they should. One of these areas that must be kept up to date and secured at all times is its integrated network. Again because of the company’s recent growth there will be challenges that will happen especially with the network so a good integrative network design must be developed in order to continue this positive trend both in present and in the future. Kudler Fine Foods is taking the next step to upgrade the existing infrastructure with new wireless technology which will provide a better communication link for not only all of the stores, but for all of the employees as well. Kudler Fine Foods wants to implement a new network design that will connect their three locations that is spreaded out across the U.S. With the new systems and servers the ability to maximize the company’s profits will increase overnight. This new inventory system will allow the stores POS systems to alert the warehouses to ship more products when they are running low automatically. This will eliminate the need of wasted man hours checking the stock. Using a Wide Area Network (WAN) would be the best choice for connecting the three locations together. They also want to implement a communication system throughout the network...
