She starts have nightmares of what might happen, and how she might be taken away from her family. I feel that Anne compares the families to the little blue heaven because she feels safer with them in the annex, and their “...circle which separates us from the approaching danger closes more and more tightly,” (Frank 115) shows how they come closer and closer to being found each day.
