The painful feeling arising from the consciousness of something dishonorable, improper, ridiculous, etc.In the novel the Kite Runner the main character Amir faces a series of shame full events.So does Dick Gregory as explained in his essay tittled Shame.In the essay dick explains that as a young child he had a crush on a girl in his class,and he would wash is clothes every night so that he would look clean for her.Then one day when the teacher was asking the students how much their fathers would donate to the community chest which was then given to the less fortunate families,Dick was one of them, as everyone called out their amount the teacher then skipped Dick and told him to be quite because he was mis fortunate and did not have a father.
