We are all here today to prove or disprove the statement that is the very reason why this court session was called to order. Did the narrator/brother cause doodle’s death? Yes the narrator/brother did cause doodle’s death. The brother was selfish and cruel and in the end he showed that by turning his back on doodle and not helping him in his time of need.

One reason for believing this is that at the end of the short story doodle cried out and the brother turned his back and left him behind. He ran far and soon he could hear doodles voice no more for he had given up hope on his older and supposedly …show more content…
The evidence that we have found states that the narrator/brother was planning to kill doodle from the beginning and his first attempt was to suffocate doodle with a pillow will he was sleeping. In Fact the only reason why he did not succeed was because william woke up and caught him with a pillow but instead of busting him doodle found it in his heart his weak heart to forgive and he smiled at the brother. Realizing he could no longer proceed with his scheme he instead called his mother to see her weak son smiling. This is not the only time he tried to kill doodle but it definitely was the first and most suden. I guess in the end he succeeded when he had the chance to leave doodle alone in a lightning storm.

When the brother finally returned to see if the deed was now done he found doodle under a tree with blood coming out of his mouth and laying there lifeless. This was sad and I didn’t know of anyone who could do this but now I do and that person is the brother/narrator. I hope that you the jury finds this boy guilty on all charges and that he gets a fair
