The late Diem Brown was a magnificent woman who had an energy and grace to her that would only be seen in fairy-tales. When she was just twenty-four years old, she got cast to be on a reality competition show where she fought against other competitors in a series of challenges to claim a grand prize of $250,000. As her first reality TV debut hit, she hid a secret from not only her cast mates, but also from the world. This beautiful, energetic soul had closeted the fact that she had been diagnosed ovarian cancer. Through her life she not only fought cancer once, but she battled against it for a heart wrenching three times. However her life was in vain since she founded MedGift. MedGift is an online registry for cancer patients where people could …show more content…
As cameras secretly filmed the two walking, Tamburello took her to an edge of a cliff and made her comfortable enough to remove her bandana. After she took off her headpiece, he picked her up in his arms and passionately kissed her not having no clue that cameras and co-stars were watching their every move. After reaching back to the house, cast mates hoarded Brown teases her on the fact that they all saw the romantic love connection that happened between the two, being embarrassed she hid her face with her hat while uncontrollably smiling. After being asked how was the kiss, she responded by saying, "Perfect.” The two dated outside of the house for a few years then broke …show more content…
Until 2012, now thirty years of age and dealing with the same problem she had when she was twenty-four, Brown once again had ovarian cancer for a second time. As Fox News explains, "Doctors needs to remove the last part of her ovaries," Doctors wanted to take it out to prevent any spreading of the cancer. Even though knowing she had cancer again, she didn't want to get her surgery, just yet. She purposely postponed the removal of her cancer, so that she would be able to save some of her eggs so that she will have kids in the future. "There's no going back after they remove my last part of my ovary. It starts my next cancer journey, and I'm scared," said Brown. The way she courageously postpone her operation for the sake of her having a biological child is a beautiful and brave jester. The reason she was so wholehearted on having a child is so the legacy of her mother would be passed on; "For me, the desire to have a biological baby is hope that my mom ... [Will] come alive in my child," Brown told Fox News reporter. Doctors monitored Browns cancer while she took fertility drugs for more than two weeks. During the time she fought her second battle with cancer, items started to get a bit expensive to get and it negatively impacted Brown. Then like a bolt of lightning she got a genius idea to help not only herself, but millions of other people who have cancer as

After military service as commander of Motor Torpedo Boats PT-109 and PT-59 during World War II in the South Pacific, Kennedy represented Massachusetts's 11th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1947 to 1953 as a Democrat. At age 43, he was the youngest to have been elected to the office,[2][a] the second-youngest president (after Theodore Roosevelt), and the first person born in the 20th century to serve as president.[3] To date, Kennedy has been the only Roman Catholic president and the only president to have won a Pulitzer Prize.[4] Events during his presidency included the Bay of Pigs Invasion, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Space Race—by initiating Project Apollo (which would culminate in the moon landing), the building of the Berlin Wall, the African-American Civil Rights Movement, and increased U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War. The Federal Reserve System & Financial Crisis

...The Federal Reserve System & Financial Crisis Alejandro Cuervo Wilmington University Abstract As we go into our research on the financial crisis of 2007, we will try to answer some questions about what actually cause of the failure of our financial system, which almost collapse the dollar. While there are plenty of faults to go around on what cause this crisis, there was never a clear path on how to reverse the demand that was cause by repealing the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933. Although there has been other regulations and acts pass since the repeal of the Act of 1933, the ability to restore and strength our dollar has been an uphill battle to take control of it. What was known within our economic system to readjust and rebuilt had not worked to establish balance playing field on the world stage or our domestic economy. As we look forward toward corrective action though the Dodd-Frank Act, Sarbanes-Oxley Act or the Global Legal Settlement of 2002 which reduced the conflict of interest as did the Sarbanes-Oakley Act. These conflicts encompass “underwriting and research in investment banks, auditing and consulting in accounting firms and credit assessment and consulting in credit rating agencies.” (Sanati, 2009) So while we have had a slow and diosmose recovery from this crisis, I will try to answer some of the questions presented to us today on our ability to fully recover and instill some preventative measures to ensure a worst and more devastating financial crisis...

Generally, those journalists do a competent job of reporting on the prospect’s record. In the case of Governor George W. Bush, Texas reporters had written numerous stories about his failed businesses in the oil patch, the dubious land grab and questionable funding behind a new stadium for Bush’s baseball team, the Texas Rangers, and his various political contradictions and hypocrisies while serving in Austin. There are lessons, both optimistic and cautionary, to be learned from COFERENE’S experiences. This article analyzes these lessons.
