Introduction A self assessment can be simple and it can also be more in-depth. This paper will address the predominate behavior style that I posse, with strengths and weaknesses. It will also address how I agree with most parts of the assessment and disagree with others, identified in the DiSC Platinum Behavioral Style Assessment (Blanchardassessments.com, 2007).
Predominate Behavior
I am predominantly an Interactive style. My style is what they call an Impresser. We are less open and less direct than most other interactive styles. We like to win with flair as stated in the study (Blanchardassessments.com, 2007). On the other hand we do not want to win at the cost of someone else’s feelings. In this style taking shortcuts makes us feel as if we were cheating in a sense. We also become very impatient when people procrastinate with getting started on projects. Our type tends to have the all or nothing approach on work and home life. We are more apt to judge a person on their ability to make things happen. We like things done in the best way possible, because we do not like to look bad. Finally we can be restless, short tempered, and even lash out when under pressure (Blanchardassessments.com, 2007).
Strengths and Weaknesses A interactive styles strengths are persuading, being optimistic, motivated and enthusiastic. We are idea people who can get other caught up in our own dreams because we are so good at persuasion. We bring people together to achieve or accomplish goals as well as results. We tend to seek approval for our achievements. Finally we have the ability to think quickly when under pressure. Since we are a people person it could seem that our only competencies would be our people skills. This in really not the case, this is only valuable in performing tasks. We contribute other skills like enthusiasm and optimism; these are things people respond to when hopes and dreams are in limbo. We also have a natural charisma about us. We do quite will in building relationships and tend to have a lot of people we call “friends” and we tend to be a natural not fun- loving in personality (Blanchardassessments.com, 2007). Our weaknesses include being disorganized, careless, exaggerate, and poorly follow through with things. When we feel pressured or stressed, we tend to become emotional and impulsive, and do things that are disorganized, unplanned, or very inconsistent. In these type of situations we will respond to the tasks at hand incompletely (Blanchardassessments.com, 2007). This in turn will make us fail to perform to our expected standards and succeed at the task on hand. We tend to avoid conflicts as much as possible, because conflicts produce the possibilities of loosing recognition and approval, as stated before we need to feel adequate.
Agree and Disagree
I would have to say I agree with the majority of the assessment. I do like to win with a flair. I love to be recognized for my work and efforts. I like a positive response to tasks I have completed properly. When I fail to get recognition I tend to bring me down. I feel like I am trying or doing the work for nothing when I do not get recognized for my efforts at home and work. I am too very receptive to change. I like to be a part of new and different experiences, and even more so if it is to a benefit to me. The one thing I do disagree with is that interactive do not want to look bad. I could care less what I appear to look like to others, as long as I get the job done and to the best of my abilities.
Conclusion
In this assessment I was surprised that it was able to tell so much about myself, with only asking a small amount of questions. I was not surprised that I was named as a people person. I love to be around people and love to have friends. The DISC listed me as an Ic this is The Impresser and an Interactive style, which is pretty accurate. It listed me as wanting to win with flair, when it comes to winning I want it "all or nothing"(Blanchardassessments.com, 2007), I do thrive to do things the "best" and I can get impatient when people procrastinate. The only thing that I do not feel accurate is the fact that it stated that my style gets concerned about "looking bad"(Blanchardassessments.com, 2007), I don’t care if I look bad per say, as long as I get the job done and done right. The profile also mentioned that my style doesn't like to be alone. It states that I tend to underestimate the time and effort as well as others to achieve a task at hand. This is very accurate in my case! I can say that I was very impressed with this behavioral profile and I can agree with just about everything that was in the profile.

...Manners in which people conduct themselves are most readily attributed as behaviors; therefore clichés such as all people are different are truly an understatement. This concept is most amplified in the platinum DISC assessment. When confronted with a situation that involves multiples personality such as vocation, each person brings and adds their perspectives and values to the overall resolution. Genuinely I am intrigue with individual’s assessments because of the variety of traits that lead to each person’s character. People could have a similar style and yet still be exceedingly different. We can attribute that to basic commonalities that humans share such as goals, dreams and admirations. There are four DISC platinum primary behavioral styles such as dominance (D style), interactive (I style), steadiness (S style) and cautious (C style). People who fall under the dominance category are people who are willing and able to take the lead. They are go-getters who want to accomplish many things. Interactive people are people who are friendly and more concerned with building relationships rather than being task oriented. Often times they are considered to be party animals because of their carefree attitude. The steadiness style has a warm personality and they are often considered nurturers. They are excellent listeners as well as planners however; they are slow when it comes to making decisions. People who fall under the cautious style are people who are concerned with perfecting...

...Running head: DISC Assessment Paper DISC Assessment Paper By: Gina and Brittany MGT 307 DISC Assessment Paper Organizational behavior studies have become more significant in today’s present years than hey were before in past years, this is due to companies realizing that in order to acclimatize to the constantly changing business cultures that have stemmed from a competitive and rapidly moving market, they must put more emphasis on the correlation between human behavior and the organization. Understanding this concept has led many several companies to put investment into behavior assessments and seminars and use them as a training tool to educate their employees and learn the reasons for each person’s behavior and attitudes and how to handle and approach these various types of behaviors and attitudes. In this paper we will be discussing the study of various behaviors via taking the DISC platinum Rule Behavioral Style Assessment to identify both me and my learning team member’s predominant behavior styles. We will then analyze our behavior styles, our strengths and weaknesses identified within our styles and whether or not we agree or disagree with the assessment. The DISC Assessment categorized both of our behavioral types as being the interactive style and our sub styles were lc. ...Professional Development Plan Edwin Julio LDR/531 April 11, 2016 Professor Scott Bruner Professional Development Plan This paper will be evaluating the results from the DISC assessment that each team member in Learning Team A completed. This learning team has five members including myself as the manager. The goal will be to view the results and figure out how each team member will work separately as well as within a group setting. The benefit of the assessment is to have each team member assess their skills, strengths, areas needing improvement, and the resources needed to help them reach their goals. As stated, Learning Team A took the DISC assessment, and the findings are as follows: Brian was considered Dominate, KinyaMantesha was assessed to be cautious, and Sarah, Shadonta and Evita was evaluated to be interactive. Evita will be taking the lead as manager of the group and will try to best describe how the learning team can collaborate as a team to complete the learning team projects moving forward. Each individual can thrive separately and get things done, but the DISC assessment was completed to see how each person could thrive within a team setting. Brian was the only one in the learning team that was considered dominant. Brian can best be described as a delegator, he would be best suited as the teacher, and he would rather lead than follow. He is direct, and very decisive. This individual will be great in a team setting since he is also someone that is a...

...Professional Development Plan Daniel Page LAW/531 July 13, 2015 Dan Kessinger Professional Development Plan Professional development is a critical part of success in the workplace and group cohesion. Every individual has different personality traits and tendencies. Managers need to recognize these differences and develop a plan for cohesion and stability. In the University of Phoenix class Organizational Leadership, the members of Learning Team B have all taken DiSC Assessments to understand better these traits and tendencies. In the following paper I will outline a professional development plan for these members both individually and as a group with my ability to lead them. Ebony Ingram Ebony Ingram is an Assessor (Ci) with a predominately cautious style. The assessor is “less guarded and less indirect than most other cautious styles” (University of Phoenix, 2015). An assessor is a wonderful asset to have on a team because they can have great intuition with a head full of knowledge through detailed evaluation. The negative of this style is that even though Assessors are quick thinkers, they may be slow to take action (University of Phoenix, 2015). This is something to keep in mind when putting together a professional development plan with contrasting personnel working together. Rasha Long Rasha Long is a Go-Getter (Sd) with a predominately steadiness style. The go-getter is “less open and less indirect than most other steadiness styles” (University of Phoenix, 2015). Cyber Attack

...Abstract Failing to communicate and collaborate in crisis or emergency situation will undoubtedly increase the vulnerability of an organization toward potential crisis. This paper highlights the significance of effective communication and collaboration at different levels in the event of or during a crisis. This is a case of a cyberattack against Sony Pictures Entertainment once on December 3, 2014 and another attach on December 8, 2014 was considered for the purpose of this research. These cyberattack shows how techniques are not just a strategic weapon to bring down societies or to terrorize societies. But it shows that attackers are getting increasingly comfortable with using cyberattacks and can quite easily gain access to consumer personal information, business information, and employee information and can bring a company to its knees. The recent attacks not only on Sony but also Home Depot, Target and others are raising concerns. What needs to be done? The attacks are becoming more frequent, more invasive and the attackers are being bold. Should there be collaboration between businesses to combat the rising issues? Will this change the way that others businesses work together? What role does the government have in protecting citizens and their right to privacy especially from foreign attackers? These issues are significant as they underline the element of crisis communication and collaboration. Introduction In the face of increasing business demands for...

...writing. In fact, the three universities that I have attended in the past have all required me to use the APA style of writing. As I recall my high school years, the APA style of writing also seemed to be a favorite amongst my high school teachers. They all required that term papers be written in APA style as well. This type of writing actually does not differ much from the ones included in the text reading. The text mentioned the APA style of writing several times. In my opinion, it appears to be the most popular style of writing, especially amongst college students. Based on the results of the quizzes, my grammar skills were actually a little better than average. I actually had expected to do better, but I guess my grammar skills are not as good as I thought they were. In any event I feel very confident when it comes to spelling, as I have always been a great speller. Even in grade school, I was a good speller. I learned at a very young age to challenge myself when it comes to spelling. Challenging my-self in that area really paid off as I became older, as I’ve never had a problem with spelling. However, I feel that I need more help with run on sentences and with thought patterns. Though I proof read my paper several times, it’s hard for me to see that I have several run on sentences until after I get my grade back. In general, I feel that my writing is just mediocre. However, I also believe that when it comes to writing, I am my own worst critic. Reason being, I am never...
