Doctoral Program Goal Statement
John K. Bond My goals for applying for the Doctorate of Educational Leadership are varied; first, I desire to gain a better understanding of the use of data in education and how to apply the knowledge gleaned from that data to help solve problems we face in education today. Secondly, I understand that an advanced degree will enable me to continue on an upward career path. My professional aspirations for the next five to ten years from now are to become a public school superintendent or director of curriculum and instruction, and I am certain that a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership will aid in paving the way for these positions. My professional experiences are varied as well. I am a veteran of the United States Air Force and of the United States Army National Guard, serving my country for a total of seven years in those organizations. My teaching career began as the Director of Bands at Wahama High School where I served for eleven years. I also served as band director at Meigs (OH) Middle School and at Gallia Academy High School before becoming the assistant principal at Wahama in 2008. In the spring of 2009 I was named Principal at Wahama. My contributions to the doctoral program will be shaped by my experiences in these positions, all of which include a varying degree of leadership and interpersonal skills. My philosophy as Principal is that my job is make my teachers as effective as they can possibly be and that I will go the extra mile for them if they can show me effectiveness in their positions. Industry Analysis

...STATES Matthew Gerlitzki Strategic Management - MBC 645 Professor Wimer May 11, 2016 Industry Definition This is an industry analysis paper of the Colleges and Universities in the United States and it is important to begin with a definition. A goal of an industry definition and boundaries scope must not be too narrow or broadly defined because this will alter the scope of the analysis and result in a skewed conclusion. I will begin by differentiating between non-profits and for-profits businesses due to the different strategies involved within management in attempt to maintain the scope of this analysis. At first thought this seems irrelevant, however, the internal and external environments of these two types of business structures are different and management must prioritize accordingly. In academia, the for-profit institution must operate similar to a regular business with a focus on profitability that will satisfy stakeholders rather than focus primarily on the quality of education. The non-profit institution will focus primarily on education and student success, which will contribute to the brand awareness and prestige that will be discussed later. An analysis of the Colleges and Universities in the United States will be limited to non-profit private and public institutions that offer Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees. Bachelor’s (undergraduate) degrees are the first program of study, are offered in a wide variety of studies and disciplines and are...

Mba Argumentative Eassy

...Innovative. Individualistic. Entrepreneurial. The Jungian Personality Assessment suggests that these three words describe a person like me. These characteristics are subject to personal interpretation. It is with these three characteristics that I will present my argument for wanting to pursue and obtain a Master of Business Administration, MBA degree. These reasons are related to issues such as job scarcity, wage earnings, and personal goals. It is because of job scarcity that I would like to establish myself in a good company. Once established, I can work towards increasing my wage earnings and at the same time work towards my personal goals. An individualistic mind is one that seeks to separate itself from the rest of the pack. Because obtaining a bachelor’s degree is fast becoming a common practice, pursuing a master’s degree only makes sense to a person seeking to be more distinguishable in a sea of familiarity. Degree requiring jobs are also becoming difficult to obtain. This difficulty can be attributed to the growing number of BA degree holders seeking jobs. According to NACE’s Job Outlook 2010 Spring Update, report shows employers plan to hire 5.3 percent more new college graduates in 2009-10 than they did in 2008-09 ("Job outlook: hiring," 2010). More and more college graduates are sought out for jobs. If having a master’s degree gives a person the extra edge, why not go for the degree that will separate you from the rest. Entrepreneurial opportunities make up the...
