Dogs World

There are way too many humans in this world. They are all fat and filled with food while I have to look for food on the streets like a pitiful monster. Oh! If my kind could rule this planet, I’d make these street rats poop (word suggest that another word for poop is beep-beep: ignore sentence) and pee outside, rain or shine. See how they like it. We would be able to feed ourselves five meals a day and play around as much as we want. We could have kids without worrying about dog-nappings and sold as slaves to random families. We never would have to worry about food, clothing, or shelter.
But look at me. I’m thinner than the stop sign down at the corner. I am weaker than the child and hungrier than the “plump” woman.
*sees the donut*
Oh! Lookie, lookie, oh pitiful fool who is reading this! A donut! A fine wonder of the world!
*dashes to donut, shoeing off the little ants crawling upon the already bitten chocolate donut; a thought occurred to Dog as he takes a bite*
What am I doing? Am I so pathetic as to eat from the ground? To eat from pitiful human garbage? I am a noble dog who comes from a proud family! I am Marcio, the mag-*stomach growls*I am Mar-*growls louder* I am-*full volume* FINE I’LL EAT THE DAMN DONUT, JUST SHUTUP!
One bite at a time. I shall savor each piece… *his stomach said otherwise*
I gobbled that thing up like how humans eat bacon. I hadn’t eaten in days; no way was my stomach going to let me nibble on that.
Now that I think about it, it might’ve been a good idea to save it for later. Oh well, screw the world. I’m my own free ma- I mean dog! I can strut down the sidewalk with my tail wagging and don’t need to care. I don’t have to act like a dog. I can walk on two legs. Heck, humans are entertained by them as shown on these so called “memes.”
I am proud to be a dog but there is much room for change. I thing I’m starting to understand why humans are a more dominant species. They have this thing called and opposable thumb. They can grab on to things that I can’t. If I want to rule, I need to either destroy their thumb or grow a pair. I don’t think I’ll be growing a pair anytime soon so I shall obliterate this word of thumbs, start with the little girl.
*starts to stalk the little girl like a hunter watching his prey, waiting for the right moment to strike; as soon as he was about to strike, a squirrel ran by*SQURRIEL!!!!!!!!!!!!*he after it for the rest of the day like a mad man, forgetting all his world dominating thoughts*

Household Dog

...The domestic dog (Canis lupus familiaris)[2][3] is a subspecies of the gray wolf (Canis lupus), a member of the Canidae family of the mammalian order Carnivora. The term "domestic dog" is generally used for both domesticated and feral varieties. The dog was the first domesticated animal[4] and has been the most widely kept working, hunting, and pet animal in human history. The word "dog" can also refer to the male of a canine species,[5] as opposed to the word "bitch" which refers to the female of the species. MtDNA evidence shows an evolutionary split between the modern dog's lineage and the modern wolf's lineage around 100,000 years ago but, as of 2013, the oldest fossil specimens genetically linked to the modern dog's lineage date to approximately 33,000–36,000 years ago.[4][6] Dogs' value to early human hunter-gatherers led to them quickly becoming ubiquitous across world cultures. Dogs perform many roles for people, such as hunting, herding, pulling loads, protection, assisting police and military, companionship, and, more recently, aiding handicapped individuals. This impact on human society has given them the nickname "man's best friend" in the Western world. In some cultures, however, dogs are also a source of meat.[7][8] In 2001, there were estimated to be 400 million dogs in the world.[9] Most breeds of dogs are at most a few hundred years old, having been artificially selected for particular morphologies and behaviors by people for specific functional roles. Poodles

...lovers, the miniature poodle dog ranks at the top of their most favorite home animals list. Besides being among the smallest dog breeds around the world, poodles posses a great combination of beauty and brains. This essay shall discuss the traits that make these adorable pets the best in their league as well as their subsequent benefits. The first trait that makes miniature poodle dogs ideal is their size; they weigh between 15 -17 pounds and grow to a height of about 11-15 inches. Their size makes them an easy load hence suiting the pet lovers who enjoy travelling about with their pets and those who simply prefer holding their pets. Small sized pet dogs are also naturally disarming. Children tend to easily like small pet dogs such as poodles as compared to large pet dogs which they deem as intimidating. In addition to that, miniature poodles are a cute looking species; slim faced, furry and agile bodied. Secondly, poodle dogs are renowned for their intelligent traits. No other breed from the dog family can outmatch a poodle dog’s ingenuity. Besides being fast learners, miniature poodle dogs display a remarkable sense of grandeur. This is evidenced by the fact that poodles have for a long time been featured in circuses around the world to impress the respective audiences. They are also highly sociable and enjoyable companions for indoor and outdoor leisure activities. Poodles are attracted to water pools, which makes them the ideal pet dogs to take along for walks, playing...

Anthropomorphize Dogs

...differences lead us to anthropomorphize dogs. This anthropomorphization can have many negative effects on our canine friends. Anthropomorphism is when you treat animals as if they were our fellow humans, although this is a big problem because animals are completely different than humans mentally and emotionally. Dogs don’t see as many colors and don't see as clear, but they are able to see well in the dark. Dogs see different than we as humans because of their alternate eye construct. This is supposedly due to the fact that “dogs have no fovea (or area with 100% cones), it is estimated their eye for detail is 6 times poorer...

You Are What You Eat

...Abstract Some may think that carrots and brown rice are healthy eating habits here in the United States. However there are some places in the world including the US where toasted insects, roasted cat and dogs, and even raw monkey brains are a delicacy. Whether you yourself would eat these types of food or not, we know that humans have been consuming cats dogs and yes even monkeys for decades. But my question is why did they find the need to eat these types of meats? Were beef, chicken, fish and pork not enough? Or maybe we’re the ones who don’t know what delicacy eating really is. Maybe we shouldn’t have such a closed mind to eating cats and dogs. Maybe by the end of this week I will be one that becomes an Entomophily.   The Holy Bible goes into great details on what we can and cannot eat. The dietary laws prohibit eating pork, shrimp, and shellfish of any kind, most insects, scavenger birds, and various types of other animals. (Leviticus chapter 11) Although the Bible doesn’t say anything about the domestic animals such as cats and dogs but many religions consider the consumption of these animals to be taboo. In some parts of the word others have resorted to eating felines and k-9’s in desperation during hard times and poverty, and others believe that eating them will bring good luck or good health. Cats and Dogs In North China eating cats is considered to be a taboo, in these parts cats are seen as having a soul so for this reason they don’t consume them here...

Cats and Dogs

...2013 Mr.R Cats and Dogs Cats and dogs, an argument people have been having for centuries. This tension is so bad, there’s even a stereotype that dogs and cats don’t like each other either. Conversations like, which is better? Which one can see further? Whose nose is more sensitive? Which ones cleaner? Which one is friendlier? Who can hear further? Which one is easier to take care of? These are questions people argue every day. There are two different types of people in this world, dog lovers and cat lovers, and they both think their pets are the best. But how are they so sure? One big controversy between dogs and cats, is that both species lovers believe their pet can hear, see, and smell better than the other. But who’s correct? On the category of smell, dogs can smell human fingerprints that are a week old. Their noses are so sensitive they can even smell electricity. The source of the dogs exceptional smell ability is their wet nose, which of course a cat does not have. However, even though dogs may have the upper paw on smell, cats come on top with hearing. The cat’s outer ear flap can rotate 180 degrees and works like a high tech satellite to locate extremely faint noises. Cats can also hear higher pitches than dogs, a cats range starts at 30 hertz and goes up to 60 kilohertz. However a dog’s hearing only goes up to 40 kilohertz. Cats and dogs are red-green colored blind, meaning they see various shades of yellows, whites, and blues. Dogs have superior night vision...

The Scoop on Dog Poop

...The Scoop on Dog Poop Shameeka S. Hardison Grantham University The Scoop on Dog Poop One of the most disrespectful and unsanitary thing a dog owner can do is; allow their dog to urinate or defecate in someone else yard. It is very irritating to look out the window and see someone’s lawn being used as a dumping ground for feces or urine by their neighbor’s dog. This is an issue many people across the world are experiencing in their neighborhoods and fixing the problem is a must for many reasons. It is a matter of being respectful of one’s property, by not allowing your dog to conduct their business on someone else’s lawn. Owning any kind of pet comes with responsibility and liability. Picking up their feces and disposing of it properly is a must! According to the American Pet Products Manufacturers Association, 43.5 million households in the United States own a dog (Roberts, 2007). Imagine that out of all these households, only half of them cleaned up after their dogs. Some people are just plain rude or too lazy to pick up after their dogs. Most dogs will start to sniff around before they began to urinate or defecate on the lawn, so politely yank them by the collar and they will move on. Carrying around a doggie poop bag or a simple Wal-Mart bag is a must when walking dogs because exercise stimulates their need to go. Yes, it means picking...

Lost and Found

...it could be for anyone. I was just thinking about my dog that I have lost; it hurt so bad I felt like I would never recover. You may feel empty and so depleted of emotion but then something comes into your life that makes you light up. It happened to me and I hope it happens for everyone else who has faced a loss of some kind. About six years ago I had a beautiful dog named Bear; he was very furry and had the cutest squirrel like tail. I loved him tremendously; he was my playmate, and my best friend. Unfortunately Bear was an older dog and passed away over night which still shocked my whole family because he played like a puppy the night before I went to sleep. I was so devastated and could not stop crying, I told my mom through streaming tears that I never want another dog again. I was so distraught that I actually thought I would never again be able to love another dog. After a few months of grieving the loss of my wonderful dog Bear, I asked my mom if we could get another. I was shocked I felt this way but was pretty sure I needed to have another dog in my life and thankfully she agreed. I wanted to get a dog from a shelter, to save them from being euthanized and everyone in my family agreed. My mom and dad asked me and my sister if we were sure this is what we wanted and we said yes and that weekend we went to a shelter. We seen all kinds of dogs, all too cute for words but no puppies, then we seen a dog...

House of 1000 Mirrors

...House of 1000 Mirrors Long ago in a small, far away village, there was place known as the House of 1000 Mirrors. A small, happy little dog came to know of this place and decided to visit. When he arrived, he bounced happily up the stairs to the doorway of the house. He looked through the doorway with his ears lifted high and his tail wagging as fast as it could. To his great surprise, he found himself staring at 1000 other happy little dogs with their tails wagging just as fast as his. He smiled a great smile, and was answered with 1000 great smiles just as warm and friendly. As he left the House, he thought to himself, "This is a wonderful place. I will come back and visit it often." In this same village, another little dog, who was not quite as happy as the first one, decided to visit the house. He slowly climbed the stairs and hung his head low as he looked into the door. When he saw the 1000 unfriendly looking dogs staring back at him, he growled at them and was horrified to see 1000 little dogs growling back at him. As he left, he thought to himself, "That is a horrible place, and I will never go back there again." All the faces in the world are mirrors. Just observe what kind of reflections do you see in the faces of the people you meet. Life is actually a reflection of our thoughts and...

Puppy Mills

...bred puppy for such a bargain often comes with a hidden catch – these puppies, and their abundance of health problems, may be coming from a puppy mill. Puppy mills are either operated in private homes, farms or underground run organizations where they are not easily monitored by animal control units. It’s a large-scale commercial, outside, breeding facility with many different breeds of dogs. Dogs are forced to breed continuously without any rest between cycles. Starting six months after the birth of a female dog, she is bred every heat cycle. Could you imagine being six months old and being forced to have babies?! Female dogs are constantly pregnant, and due to lack of veterinary care they become extremely weak, malnourished and dehydrated quickly. Once female dogs reach the age of four or five they get to the point where they cannot produce at the rate they use to. When this happens, breeders see no need for them anymore and simply dispose of them. If the female dog is lucky, the breeder will humanely euthanize her, meaning put her to sleep by a needle or drug; however most female dogs are shot to death. After killed...

Essay On Becoming A Veterinarian

...“Where is your dog?” “Are you going to become a vet?” A skilled interrogator even at the age of five, my past self would be peppering me with questions before I had a chance to open my mouth. Back then, all I ever wanted in life was to have a dog, and to be a veterinarian. I still yearn for the former and she would be thrilled about that. However, I would have to explain to her that when I was 10, I saw a dog be bitten, and couldn’t stand the sight of it. That it was then when I realized that I couldn’t bear to see animals in pain, and therefore wouldn’t be able to become a veterinarian. Once she got over the shock of hearing that, she would be pleased that I am still going to end up helping people, as that was her current life goal as well. The 17 year old person my five year old self imagined would be well on her way to becoming the top veterinarian in America. She would be in high school, surrounded by her friends, doing what she loved. Outside of school she would do gymnastics, run and play on her guitar. She...

The present lineage of dogs was domesticated from gray wolves about 15,000 years ago.Remains of domesticated dogs have been found in Siberia and Belgium from about 33,000 years ago. The earlier specimens not only show shortening of the snout but widening of the muzzle and some crowding of teeth making them clearly domesticated dogs and not wolves. There are more sites of varying ages in and around Europe and Asia younger than 33,000 years ago but significantly older than 15,000 years ago. None of these early domestication lineages seem to have survived the Last Glacial Maximum. Although mDNA suggest a split between dogs and wolves around 100,000 years ago no specimens predate 33,000 years ago that are clearly morphologically domesticated dog.
