Downloading, just sharing or stealing? Thieves have taken on a whole new face, in what people call the “cyber age”. There is no need for thieves to rob banks, steal cars or even leave the house. Computers are thieves’ new weapon of choice. They can hack in to bank accounts in seconds, leaving a person helpless and feeling violated while months are spent picking up the pieces. In this cyber age people do not even have to change out of their pajamas, or brush their teeth to steal every dime a person has. Computers are the perfect weapon because they do not need food, sleep and can be programmed to constantly run, bouncing from account to account ruining every life it touches. With all the theft going on, some are committing suicide because they cannot fix all the damage these thieves have done to their lives. The big Internet crimes reported on the news are kids file sharing music. File sharing is considered a form of theft, but sharing one album compared to thieves ruining lives stealing billions from people who live check to check is like comparing apples and oranges. The creators of technology could not even have imagined all the bad stuff that has become of their dreams and hard work. Computers were built to solve calculations and then kept evolving to help make life easier and more efficient. Trouble started with the World Wide Web, because people started transmitting personal information through the airways. People do not understand some stuff that is sent over the web, one does not have control on who can collect that information. When people are talking about kids stealing music, the first thing that comes to mind, is a group of punk kids grabbing a hand full of CDs and running out of the local record store. The big criminal music thieves are not running out of the store pushing things over, or ruining things in

...extremely small. Some people believe that what they download has little effect of the entertainment industry and no one suffers in the process. If one takes into account that one person downloads a CD that costs $16, that one CD for that one person does make little difference on the larger picture. Take that one person and multiply it by 1 million, which is likely a fraction of the amount of illegal downloads; the entertainment industry will now have lost $16 million. Imagine the ramifications if each person downloaded two or three CDs each. How much less would CDs cost if every piece of music was purchased properly. Education has opened my eyes to see that piracy can harm entertainment companies. I was not aware that not just illegal downloading but copying or uploading friend’s CDs, movies, and other items is also considered piracy and hurts the entertainment industry. Educating the general population, I believe will help reduce piracy and potentially decrease the purchasing cost of movies and music. Creating anti-piracy ads and presenting them at the movie theatres and on television will help increase...

The first thing you are going to need is a domain name that has not been taken. If it has been taken you have the option to bid for it and then buy that is if the owner sells you the domain. You can buy a domain name through any hosting sites and reserve it, but most of the hosting sites let you choose a free new domain when you host from them, so that is a less costlier option. There are many hosting sites available, but I am going with godaddy.com because their rates are low at this time and their support is good too. So, go to godaddy...

...remote access, and increases efficiency by eliminating duplication and errors. Also, maintenance of cloud computing is significantly cheaper than fixed assets like buildings and land. 2. Cloud computing has a few disadvantages as well. Applications based on cloud computing depend on the service provider for maintenance usually, and if something were to go wrong with the providers systems, the users will not be able to access the data or operate on their usual terms; this is a huge drawback. The security of this sensitive information is also at risk if there are errors or hacking attacks made on the server systems for cloud computing. Security is a key issue that is being tackled on an everyday basis. Also, most users get uploading and downloading privileges, so information can be shared top to bottom in an organization easily as well as horizontally. This same information could be used for illegal activities within or outside the organization since files are easily accessible. 3. ...tutorial from, and after trying it out ourselves we learnt to use Blackboard. Using Blackboard doesn’t need much remembering, all you have to do is click on your subjects enrolled in and just go to certain folders to obtain documents related to the courses teachings. Overall, I could say Blackboard is effective to use as students are able to log on at any time they wish to gather the information or documents required by them. However occasionally the server might be down or there can be some error in the log in application which causes the students some distress as the portal cannot be accessed at that specific time wanted or needed. Blackboard is efficient to a certain extent to obtaining documents and information however sometimes downloading data from Blackboard can be troublesome for some students without a printer and these students would have to make sure they print their notes in advance in university before each class. Sometimes it would just be better if all documents are uploaded at the beginning of the semester instead of uploading the documents required each week in advance. In that way, students can print out all their materials way in advance and it saves them a lot of trouble rather than printing each time separately which can be time consuming. On the other hand, I think Blackboard...
