Busby Manufacturing
Company Ltd.
Consultancy Report

Executive Summary
Busby Manufacturing over the course of the year have highlighted a number of difficulties and tasks that needed to be completed. Beginning with their first problem, it needed to be researched into how the launch of their new product would sell after predictions dude to demand, pricing and costs were all taken into consideration. A user-friendly active model has been constructed to portray the final figures based on predictions and allows any percentage changes to portray new data. This has allowed them to change sale figures from 10% to 7% etc. to determine if the product is feasible to produce and launch.
Busby has also been investigating its monthly advertising budget and have needed to analyse the sales projections from television, newspaper and billboards. In order to portray these in a simple manner, scatter diagrams have been constructed to highlight the correlation between the total sales and each of the individual sales. This then led to the conclusion being made when concerning the advertising team’s plans for next month. The calculations that were made have come forward to positively support these plans as they still adhere to each other like previous monthly spending.
In concerns to Busby’s investigations into current absence and salary pay across their three companies in the UK, statistical analysis has been put into place. This analysis has been able to highlight to HRM on where they need to focus their attention on in concern to absences. Analysis has shown that Newcastle has obtained the highest with male absences accumulating to 2299 and females standing at 1280. As well, it has been obtained that Busby may need to evaluate salary pay as there may be concerns with discriminatory behaviour in regard to females being paid less.

Cultural Event Critique of Musikfest 2010

...Cultural Event Critique of Musikfest 2010 Alfred J. Haines Humanities 100, Section 010016 Dr. Cynthia Bryson Due September 5, 2010 2 Musikfest 2010 Where: Bethlehem, Pa. When: August 6-15 What: A multicultural musical event covering ten days in historic Bethlehem town center. Once a year the sleepy town of historic Bethlehem is roused to near bliss when the streets come to life with sound. The police barricades and hand painted 'Park Here” signs are the first indication that something is about to awaken in this remote college town. The backdrop for this event is the Moravian College which was founded in 1742 by followers of John Amos Comenius, the 17th century Moravian bishop. Many of the original buildings line the streets along the route of tents and displays, each displaying plagues with descriptions of events that make that place unique. I was able to enjoy three of the ten days mostly with my wife, Diane, one night my teenage daughter even joined us. The distance and my work schedule prevented me from spending even more time at this wonderful event. I have taken notes about the bands and activities that I attended, and some I had only seen in passing. There were more bands and booths than anyone could visit in the little time that was available. My first stop was on at six fifteen when I heard the sound of Jolly Joe Timmer's Polka band. Good old time Polish Polka with dancing in the main tent, my mom would have loved this! The band wore Polish...

Were the Europeans Correct in Thinking That the Native Americans Were Civilized

...National Humanities Center Resource Toolbox Becoming American: The British Atlantic Colonies, 1690-1763 “You know, we are different Nations and have different Ways.” European Americans and Native Americans View Each Other, 1700-1775 In British America, there was no greater sense of Otherness than between Europeans and Native Americans. Both Indians and Africans represented the "other" to white colonists, but the Indians held one card denied to the enslaved Africans— autonomy. As sovereign entities, the Indian nations and the European colonies (and countries) often dealt as peers. In trade, war, land deals, and treaty negotiations, Indians held power and used it. As late as 1755, an English trader asserted that "the prosperity of our Colonies on the Continent will stand 1 or fall with our Interest and favour among them." Here we canvas the many descriptions of Indians by white colonists and Europeans, and sample the sparse but telling record of the Native American perspective on Europeans and their culture in pre-revolutionary eighteenth-century British America. All come to us, of course, through the white man's eye, ear, and pen. Were it not for white missionaries, explorers, and frontier negotiators (the go-betweens known as "wood's men"), we would have a much sparser record of the Indian response to colonists and their "civilizing" campaigns. . * Royal Library of Denmark “The natives, the so-called savages” Francis Daniel Pastorius, Pennsylvania, 1700 Pastorius...
