INTRODUCTION

“Success is like a vitamin. Everyone needs some of it. When you don’t have enough success, it’s hard to feel very good about who we are, especially when other people around you seem to be having plenty of success.”(Levine1990). Genuine, lasting success is never been an accident. It is the result of personal character. Winners always have a sense of mission. They know where they are headed and have figured out how to get there. They are focused. They plan their work and work their plan. They realize that time is more valuable than money. They work smarter, not harder. High achievers usually have one obvious thing in common: personal discipline. Successful people are willing to do things that average people are unwilling to do. The researcher wants to give attention and signify that these high school student workers were venerated by their much appreciated sacrifices. For some reasons, this study would lend a hand to these young individuals if ever be read by the higher authorities or the government. Moreover, study is made to reach out and unlock possibilities to student workers, in which if given an opportunity to study and be given attention in the society will become successful. Thus, they can have even more than what they have now. These young individuals were forced to work so they can able to uphold with the intention to study and reach their goals. Being engaged in a great responsibility at an unsuitable age is a violation of their rights. The researcher wanted to answer the Why’s and the How’s that are often asked by some.
The case study desires to distinguish the reasons why these young individuals require to work in order for them to be at school in the other way around. It focuses on their problems and difficulties encountered as a working student and their struggles to balance work, family, and school.

Blood Sweat and Tears or Just a Little Elbow Grease?

...Blood, Sweat, and Tears or Just a Little Elbow Grease? Abstract While many complain about the ill effects of unemployment, little is being done to prevent it from occurring in the future. This paper uses research from several employment training programs to help investigate what can be done to prevent teenagers and young adults from behaving unprofessionally in early jobs which could result in lack of desire to hire them in the future. Many of these studies have shown that a great deal of the issues that arise in employees are due to a lack of respect and a bad attitude. This paper proposes a set of courses be provided in the community to help better prepare teenagers and young adults for the workplace by teaching not only basic work skills but social skills as well. Blood, Sweat, and Tears or Just Little Elbow Grease? Bob gathers his courage and takes a deep breath. This is the big “make-it or break-it” moment. He walks up to the lady he has been nervous about meeting for weeks. They talk, he leaves his number, and they part ways. Weeks later, Bob is still waiting to hear back from her, wondering where he went wrong. Little does Bob know, the biggest mistake he made happened years ago. Bob was not asking a girl out on a date; he was applying for a job. Unemployment is a growing issue in America today, and unfortunately, one big reason for not being hired is past performance in previous jobs. With classes that specialize in training high school and college students for...

Ordeal of My Lemon

...was the 70, 000 miles on the dashboard; I was convinced that with such low a mileage the car still had life left to it. Again, I encouraged myself, that I was buying from “my mechanic.” It was not until the following day that I realized what I had exchanged for my hard-earned nine hundred and fifty dollars. The exterior paintwork was actually not a true light blue but rather a blue that had given way to the harsh summer sun over the years. Under the clear direct sunlight, the interior was not pleasing either; the plastic on the dashboard was dry-baked and dusty while the seats badly needed repair. “I can turn this car around,” I thought as I burned the last jolt of self-encouragement, “Some elbow grease and the heavily advertised cleaning and polishing products will do the job.” Early that...

Logistic Features and Challenges

...Supply Chain Management (Logistic features and challenges) Outlines: * History of logistics * Introduction to Logistics and SCM * Business Logistics * DISTINGUISHED PROBLEMS OF LOGISTICS * 3 Logistical Challenges Every Growing Business Must Overcome * WalMart * Conclusion History of logistics:- Logistics has been playing a fundamental role in global development for almost 5,000 years now. Since the construction of the pyramids in ancient Egypt, logistics has made remarkable strides. Time and again, brilliant logistics solutions have formed the basis for the transition to a new historical and economic era. Examples of this fundamental progress include the invention of the sea-cargo container and the creation of novel service systems during the 20th century. Both are integral parts of globalization today. Around 2700 B.C.: Material handling technology in pyramid construction. Blocks of stone weighing several tons were transported and assembled at the construction site. To build the Great Pyramid of Giza, which is 146 meters high and weighs 6 million tons, the Egyptians needed sophisticated material transport equipment capable of moving the massive building blocks and putting them into place. Even today, we still cannot fully explain how this level of precision was achieved using the hoisting equipment and means of transport available around 2700 B.C. Around 300 B.C.: Revolutionary Greek rowing vessels – the new foundation...

...Athletic HISTORY The first modern-style indoor athletics meetings were recorded shortly after in the 1860s, including a meet at Ashburnham Hall in London which featured four running events and a triple jump competition. The Amateur Athletic Association (AAA) was established in England in 1880 as the first national body for the sport of athletics and began holding its own annual athletics competition – the AAA Championships. The United States also began holding an annual national competition – the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships – first held in 1876 by the New York Athletic Club.[14] Athletics became codified and standardized via the English AAA and other general sports organisations in the late 19th century, such as the Amateur Athletic Union (founded in the US in 1888) and the Union des sociétésfrançaises de sports athlétiques (founded in France in 1889). An athletics competition was included in the first modern Olympic Games in 1896 and it has been as one of the foremost competitions at the quadrennial multi-sport event ever since. Originally for men only, the 1928 Olympics saw the introduction of women's events in the athletics programme. Athletics is part of the Paralympic Games since the inaugural Games in 1960. Athletics has a very high profile during major championships, especially the Olympics, but otherwise is less popular. An international governing body, the International Amateur Athletics Federation (IAAF), was founded in 1912; it adopted its current...

VII THE GAME LOVE STORIES TWENTY-TWO I The Probationer's name was really Nella Jane Brown, but she was entered in the training school as N. Jane Brown. However, she meant when she was accepted to be plain Jane Brown. Not, of course, that she could ever be really plain. People on the outside of hospitals have a curious theory about nurses, especially if they are under twenty. They believe that they have been disappointed in love. They never think that they may intend to study medicine later on, or that they may think nursing is a good and honourable career, or that they may really like to care for the sick. The man in this story had the theory very hard. When he opened his eyes after the wall of the warehouse dropped, N. Jane Brown was sitting beside him. She had been practising counting pulses on him, and her eyes were slightly upturned and very earnest. There was a strong odour of burnt rags in the air, and the man sniffed. Then he put a hand to his upper lip--the right hand. She was holding...
